While poking around with ZArchiver app I found the FX boot logo animation. 🤔 Each frame is a .PNG image. Thinking back to the N900 days, would it be possible to replace the animation with one of our own? It probably won't work with a video file, but if we create animations in .PNG format it may work. Anyone brave enough to try?😛

Hmmm i mean that boot animation can be only in portrait...orientation sensor is enabled after fully booted os. ...you must made something like orientation neutral animation....like rotating logo on center 😉 edit....badly written...you can made animation in landscape or portrait....but orientation is fixed

After I managed to break the screen a few weeks ago by dropping the device (had it repaired), yesterday I poured a good measure of beer over it (thankfully non-alcoholic, otherwise it would have also been a shame because of the beer) – good thing the phone was closed, I switched it off, cleaned it, dried it and it took no harm...

I apologise for spamming the thread, but I do think it's important to point out that with GSM/WCDMA preferred + WiFi calling enabled on Lineage 18.1 I've had a further 7 calls without quality taking a hit. I'll stop posting for now. :)

Yeah, a series of images rotating between portrait and landscape could do the trick, hinting that the device is designed to be used in either direction.

@DieBruine wrong and wrong 🙂 1) microphone is not on top display part - microphone is 1cm right near usb connector (small hole). 2) here is nothing to bend for better mic contact. Mic is digital (4-5pin) and is soldered directly to flex/pcb. What can be bad...flex cable connector (i mean flex cable to usbc,speaker ect) can be littlebit disconnected on mainboard (I do not think so), or microphone can be fall down after phone fall to the ground , or can be damaged ( water, dust etc). Solution...solder new microphone...if it doesn't help will be needed to check aud

Never seen that. My guess would be that it is some app that does it.... Say some app that fails to do whatever it tries to and is signalling for you to fix it. e.g. a mail app failing to communicate with the mail-server When you say restart, is it just a Press power select Restart, or is it a hold power down for some 10 secs? The later does a deeper boot. (and is simple and non-destructive so try that first) If that does not fix it I would try to stop apps (Settings, Apps, See all apps, find and click app, click Force Stop) on any newly installed or newly updated app, to see see if t
