  1. @Hook @claude0001 Indeed there's a mix-up (on my part). I was misled by what was considered "upper-housing". You guys are right. We only offer the "frame" for replacement/for sale (the detachable screen itself after unscrewing the 5 bolts). This can be easily replaced by any user and requires no glueing etc.

  2. I am pleased to say the issue has been resolved by Casey with fantastic support and the faulty hardware swapped out. Phone back in my hands. Thank you very much @Casey and everyone who commented on the thread.

  3. So... I had to unlock bootloader of this phone - as far as I remember well, it was initially unlocked and I am sure I have enabled offline charging which was currently disabled. (It went for repair and received back a long time ago.) As I wrote above, it was still at the very first stock image which I was able to update yesterday step-by-step (lot of updates), up to "QX1000_EEA_20200707225313 (security level 2020. april 05.)". Now I have installed latest stock using fastboot and it currently has "QX1000_EEA_20200825231443_20200825-2316" and same security patch level. So I think o

  4. This would indeed be welcome if there was a simple way of doing what ever is needed to program the display, isolated, and not as a part of a whole full flash.

  6. I've updated my models to support the new Pro1X. I've also added a small lip around the edges to match up with the bevel on the two halves. This does not interfere with the phone when closed as they sit just below the surface. Both halves now fit firmly against the phone with no movement when opening or closing. I would imagine they would survive a drop as well. (Not tested). https://www.printables.com/model/267403-fxtec-pro1x-case

  7. And there is yet another possibility I have seen in the contracting world (In US, not China). (Again, I have no idea if any of this is what is happening here). So even though FxTec got phones to warehouse before contract end, lock downs and low staffing prevented most of the phones from going out before the contract end. This means all work has to stop until there is a contract extension. (I've proposed this before). But here is where December comes in, which I have not mentioned before. Even if the contract extension is mostly pro forma (mostly a rewrite of the work order with new da

  8. Totally agree on the last half. You misunderstood what I meant in the first part. If they knew/know when a court order is to be expected, they know that nothing is going to happen before that. Obviously there is still a risk that a court might rule in favour of the other party / assuming my guess is right that it is a court ruling we are awaiting...

  9. That they knew back then that things is going to happen in December could have more explanations than your suggestion. My guess for the specifics in this delay is that the case has been put to court, and they got a court date in December. But obviously this is just a guess, too. Have you any suggestions for a rationale behind your theory? If it is 'ordinary' negotiations, a known time frame from the start seems unlikely, and if they even expected the negotiations to fail, as you suggests, what could they possibly gain by a delay? I have not kept an eye on the igg numbers, but

  10. That's right! No reason! And the earth is flat... So which facts do you have that would substantiate doubts that Fxtec does everything they can to deliver those phones in the end, as extreme as the delays already have become for some of us?

  11. I guess @Tommi69preordered an original Pro1 via the f(x)tec website and was later "upgraded" to a Pro1X. As such he is eligible for refund while IGG backers are not.

  12. Tommi69, Can you please name a few points, how you argued and especially how F(x)tec reacted? That would be very helpful.

  13. I recommend you take @Casey up on his offer. I suspect you'll get a pretty fast turn around, especially if you share your ticket number with Casey. And your problem will be solved. I had to send my Pro 1 to London twice and was very happy with the results both times. 🙂

  14. There is a GMS-less Android build available. I updated the G-drive link in here: I suggest using QFIL method to flash rather than adb sideload. Good luck!
