i did not expect it to show up. somehow, it did... box open as expected, battery dead as expected. rubber band is currently rubber banding. will report back when I know it actually turns on...

Lol to the above post. There is a fix. In the sim settings, change your mobile network to another. Wcdma only appears to work great on my device. Otherwise you can consider using VoIP and can keep the default LTE setting.

Hi, Rob The two annoyances you mention can both be quite easily fixed! For the home / fingerprint sensor, you simply need to alter the setting for it to require a double-tap to go Home. Sorts the problem completely and permanently, and you get to appreciate fully a fingerprint sensor that in my view is the best I've come across (even works with a damp thumb!). To get a fully-featured keyboard with all sorts of extended characters, proper multilanguage support and all sorts of useful extra features, all you need do is download the Blackberry keyboard software: it completely

There was a choice of either blue or black in the campaing. They e-mailed me that they didn't have enough blue devices so they switched me to black. It has XDA logo on the back and a factory label saying Pro1 X 😉

You can use app called Round corners and Hide notch to make the curve of the corner bigger (there are other apps too). It is not a perfect fix since it does not work in the settings or the drop down menu. However, it can help little bit. I wouldn't worry about those. My Pro1's (got two of them) and my Pro1-X have had these black spots in the corners of the screen since day one. They haven't worsened over time (we're talking years for my initial Pro1)

everytime I see the phone on my desktop I think "unbelievable, it's here..." I feel lucky as the direct concurrent keyboarded-phone from Planet computer seems to be a complete scam now. (I don't expect a Pro2). That say, I wish you a good ending for the saga.

Until you have it in youre hands allot can happen However i consider myself lucky to get a tracking number I plan to elevate it to a masterpiece on my wall once it arrives. I wil not use it as a smartphone, but as a poignant reminder that no matter how many blunders I make, they'll never quite measure up to the Pro1-X saga.
