"okay google set alarm for 6am tomorrow morning", "I'm sorry Eskerahn, I can't do that."

Are there any that hold somewhat strong? I tried one and the issue i had is the weight of the cable was enough to disconnect it accidentally when moving a bit.

Maybe that's a question worth asking them :D.

With how popular LOS is they get quite a lot of traffic, so maybe it isn't as cheap as you'd think? Also I don't think they have very much money. I wouldn't be surprised if someone had a full archive of all builds though. It does suck.

Me too! I wanna be able to shitpost the forum like this from my phone :D. And SSH into my computer, and edit code, and chat to people, and search the web, and take notes, and make photos with an actual 2 stage shutter button, and play emulator games, and write emails... It is gonna be so awesome 🙂!

Well I sure as hell am also voting my dollars to the Pro1, still seems too good to be true yet it most certainly is :). I find it very confusing even that there is not much more demand for a keyboard on a phone, we have so much computing power in those mobile devices but it's barely convenient enough to even send a text message... But I can understand people who don't really care to have portable computing and mostly want phone calls and no hassle would get the iThings and be plenty happy.

He did tho, but from his earlier statements about yPhones i don't actually think he'd be insulted. ^^ On a more serious note, other than their active efforts to make repairing their stuff more difficult apple does have some good things, way longer term updates and (presumeably) better security etc. Just different target audience, people who don't want to bother with custom anything and just get something that works consistently without wasting time on it, not sure if Apple delivers so but it's what they seem market.

shhhh read carefuller, eske had an iphone 6 and he is a mod 😂

The TWRP seems to be only useful for Sailfish when you flash it with the way described, because of system-as-root, see the adventures in this thread:

it is just meant to have the file in the folder where you are running adb from 🙂

I don't think I know all of them still but this is what I remember: Nokia 3310 -> Nokia ?? (color dumbphone) -> Nokia 1112 -> Samsung ?? color dumbphone -> Nokia n900 -> Previous samsung -> Sony Xperia M -> Nokia/Microsoft Lumia 730 -> Nokia e72 -> Rungee/Xeno/Landrover n2 (this thing) -> Doogee S60 & since recent Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in parallel -> Pro1, shortly!

On my touchscreen slab i won't even try xD. And damn that picture made me think xiaomi made a keyboard slider there for a moment, that's a good looking bluetooth kbd :D.

Maybe it IS the Droid 5 :D.

PayPal has been a total nightmare for sellers since fairly recently, they've introduced a policy where they keep the (fairly substantial) transaction cost even if a transaction is refunded among other things. They also have a habit of locking accounts of sellers if suddenly a lot of money comes in, among other issues. It's not a good idea for them I believe.

IIRC the windows 10 for ARM does run x86 applications with an emulation/translation layer type of thing, but I don't know how well that performs.

I went back 3 pages and found no such claims...

Yet... Let's be hopeful, to get sailfish etc there is also a want to get hybris working on the device and that code can be shared i believe 🙂. Because there is no standards for bootloader, how to tell the OS what devices are connected where, drivers, etc. The image has to be built to know where and what about the hardware. It's a regrettable fact of life, but shows you how good we have it with modern PC/laptop hardware. It's almost the same way it was back before when IBM PC type stuff took over, and instead of the BIOS abstracting the hardware for the OS there was only a manual tellin

We will get TWRP eventually I am sure :). Edit: and by eventually I mean probably pretty soon.

You absolute winner! 😄 I will award you now the official gray wizard beard and please tell us how you did it :). The injection worked?
-
I also have never tried such, neither do I understand how TWRP install via script would be done. We need a good wizard to help us TWRP/root i believe :D. Help!

see also: me saying the same stuff in the thread @Linkandzelda linked xD

@mcdinner may have just found the reason we are not having any luck, and it's my fault xD. (edit: we were chatting about it in discord, feel free to join us https://discordapp.com/invite/k4NtAGy ) https://forum.xda-developers.com/pro1/development/custom-roms-lineage-t3981821 Specifically the lines "A working TWRP exists, but keep in mind system-as-root limitations." and "System-as-root means that /system is mounted as /, but it also means that recovery is a part of boot image, so flashing it as the whole boot partition won't let you boot the system. There'll be a need for TWRP installer sc

Could it be you have to complete the initial setup for twrp to get in to the system without password?

^ also i think this would probably work
