Yes quite true you would only need to do a lot of design on the first iteration (like pro1) then it will be refinement of the individual sized boards (based on customer feedback hopefully!) why they should create a pro1 lite 😄

Yes companies really need to do this more. TBH it's simple design the small one then the 2 larger sizes come free just put bigger screens in 😄. That wouldn't work with a keyboard phone though you would expect the keyboard to be redesigned.

Yeah this is the goal for me as well be able to use my phone as desktop unit for simple tasks. Samsung have been trying to do this for a long time they do have this now https://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/apps/samsung-dex/ but not had a device to try this.

@B.X I guess it really depends on your hand size to get the correct fit. Always good when a manufacturer offers a rang of sizes.

That's to be expected a lot of software processing is done on the output of the devices.

You should only change if you have a real reason to. A lot of people is distrust of google spying on them others its a specific feature or the OS just does something better.

A lot of people don't realise the CPU is pretty irrelevant these days (like mentioned above) as it's got to the point where each new CPU doesn't double/triple the performance.

Does LineageOS work? I was looking into what ubuntu touch needs and that was a requirement and an open source kernel. Found the kernel https://github.com/sailfish-on-fxtecpro1/kernel-fxtec-pro1 just need the lineage os 😄 (Got that info from here http://docs.halium.org/en/latest/porting/first-steps.html)
