  1. When it comes to app crashes, sure. But for kernel crashes?! I did filter out all Huawei apps in the migration.. 😉
  2. I've had my device for a couple of hours. And it freezes and crashes frequently. Apps also seem to crash more frequently than my previous phone. Happens often with graphics intense apps, especially when playing videos with VLC.
  3. Just checked my wireless controller. It connects to my AP's with two spatial streams. So yes, all antennas seem connected. Speed test also suggests that's the case.
  4. Zero problems for me, just got it delivered. Sweden.
  5. Got it just now. First impressions: * Slider is difficult to open with just thumbs. It needs to be lifted a bit in the back. * Keyboard is off with one position. Probably because i have the QWERTZ version. Will upgrade and reboot to see if it disappears.
  6. To answer my own question, it support two SS. Nice! 🙂
  7. Since this thread has now mutated to "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" for tracking updates, here's my tracking history if anyone wants to compare: Monday , 1/27/2020 5:45 am STOCKHOLM-ARLANDA SE At local FedEx facility Friday , 1/24/2020 9:02 am STOCKHOLM-ARLANDA SE At local FedEx facility 7:49 am STOCKHOLM-ARLANDA SE At local FedEx facility Package not due for delivery 5:52 am STOCKHOLM-ARLANDA SE Int
  8. Got FedEx tracking number, ETA 27th. However, it's already in Köln today, so I don't really see how it can take that long to move it a bit further north to Stockholm, Sweden until then. 🙂 My GF said: And the shipment will contain a thank you card that says "God bless you for sending us your money", only. But let's see.
  9. But device manufacturers should go as far as they possibly can to give users full control, right? I'm sure that the support for call recording could be improved so that it's an easy thing to setup. This way, fxtec would be in the clear while enabling users to make a choice. And what happened to Denmark? I though you guys were shouting "förbuds-sverige!" all the time? But I bought my scooter uncapped. Sure there's a disclaimer that you're not allowed to drive it on public roads, but who cares..
  10. So the Pro1 is supposed to support VoLTE. I guess it also supports VoWiFi? Has anyone tried it? I know that my carrier only allows certain approved models use VoLTE, supposedly because of how depndent that thechnology is in the implementation, in conjunction with poor standardization of VoLTE. Please share if it worked or not, and what carrier you have.
  11. Thanks Craig and Polaris for the comrehensive answers! Pre-GSM (which was only avaibale after 1992-3 or so for the general public) we had our orwn nordic standard, NMT (1G), which was analog. SIM-cards were introduced as part of the GSM standard. That network lived long for similar reasons as Verizons CDMA, since signal propagation was amazing. More infor the interested/gess (like me): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_Mobile_Telephone
  12. Ok, so it's all about coverage. So AT&T or T-mobile isn't even close when it comes to UMTS or GSM coverage, compared to Verizons CDMA? If they are, why choose CDMA? Is a minor coverage difference really worth it compared to supporting a network that doesn't support the global standards and locks you in with specific phones and/or prevents you to use a phone of your choice? If it's worth it, why even consider getting a Pro1? 🙂 Regarding VoLTE, it's probably only essential for Verizon, as the normal procedure is to place calls via UMTS and then you have GSM call hand-over if you lose yo
  13. Heh, I wouldn't put 3 and "works like a charm" closely together, regardless of the device. Or maybe it's slightly different in Denmark. It just completely sucks in Sweden. Will test Telia SE as soon as I get my device. Ps. It would be appreciated if all of you in this thread could test all modes, like GSM, UMTS and LTE. Ps2. Would the Pro1 actually be able to access CDMA networks if roaming was allowed there? Has anyone tried it?
  14. With the risk of heading slightly in an off-topic direction.. So I'm european and grew up with GSM since the early 90's. Here, your SIM card would work in any phone, at all times, unless the phone you inserted the SIM card in was carrier locked. Hence my honest question, out of sheer curiosity: Why do you accept a carrier to require device activation, that then prevents you from just swapping your SIM into another device? How can that be acceptable? Why would you even consider paying even one cent to such a carrier? Is it because it's your one and only option or what? If yes, how come no-
  15. I believe that the largest target demographic are those who already had a UNIX-beard when the first Nokia Communicator was launched.. 🙂 And subsequently, also the largest group of actual buyers. Hence, I'm not sure that all forum members voted honestly in this poll. :P
  16. Looks good! I can't find a single thing I want to change with the QWERTZ version of Swedish. But it sure does look as scandi users really want the QWERTZ version, from a layout perspective. Let's see how comfy it is to type with QAZ so far to the left though. :)
  17. It's not clear in the specs how many spatial streams this device will support. Does anyone know? Spatial streams explained: https://www.digitalairwireless.com/articles/blog/wi-fi-spatial-streaming-explained
  18. Personally, I'd buy a second one with scandi layout if I feel that I'm satisfied with my currently pre-ordered qwertz phone. So let us know if these plans will actually happen, I'm sure you can get some of us to buy a second phone.. :) I've used key remapping on both Samsung Galaxy Relay 4G and BlackBerry priv before, and that works pretty well as long as the key labels are fairly similar on average. I have a hunch that FinQwerty will be available for this phone as well (but yes, it's just my speculation).
