@Craig OMG. This is it! Thanks, Swiftkey works wonderfully and just does whatever I want, it's surprisingly customizable too. Japanese input works from the physical keyboard now. I have no idea why Gboard refused to work but oh well. -
@VaZso Thanks, sadly this is beyond my abilities so I have to get used to what's provided by Finqwerty. Basically what I wanted was to have every key correspond to everything to get the Hungarian characters except modify a few because some of the defaults don't make sense to me. I also thought some characters could be set up with a long press but it doesn't seem to be a thing on the keyboard at all. I couldn't get Japanese working either, all I want it is to convert from latin letters but they just remain latin letters hm.

Actually no, I think in the serial number topic there was someone with 1k. I think what happened here is that most of my unit was "reserved" early due to my preorder but there was no qwertz keyboard available so it was put on hold. Or, qwerty and qwertz units are counted separately in production would be my other guess.

Any idea how I set up the physical keyboard to actually write in Japanese? I added it in the settings but it keeps using only latin letters and the keys are kinda scrambled too. -
Any idea when the "wake on double tap" will be back? It got taken out due to some bug afaik pretty early on. I really liked that on my PRIV x).

It's finally here! Mine is the 335th specimen. My only problem so far is really just the unlucky fingeprint reader placement. I assume a good case should solve that. I really want to get something like this: Other than this, I slapped the BB Launcher on because the basic Pie one is just atrocious. I haven't finished setting up everything yet but overall I am satisfied.

Sent them the requested details today. Fingers crossed. It's unlikely I get it this week but next week is promising.

@VaZso Hey, I finally got the tracking number today. I know the value Fxtec gave on the invoice regarding the price is different than the actual one I paid. Did you tell this on the custom declaration and was there any problem with it? Hopefully they will let my package through. (sadly I can't print the forms today but I should be still in the clear tomorrow regarding extra storage fees)

I haven't even gotten a tracking number yet but I expect mine to be also stuck in customs... Now, hopefully Fxtec put the phone number on the package because if they didn't and customs won't contact me it will be just sent back without me knowing anything.. (our customs is ultra crap)

In my case it's a bit weird, no tracking number yet but I got an "Your F(x)tec order is now complete" e-mail. Well we have no FedEx in Hungary so I have no idea which supplier will be used..hopefully GLS or FoxPost because the rest are not really good.

@Dany303 Well I wouldn't blame you if you requested a refund (I was on the verge of getting one too a few weeks ago after all) but currently nothing indicates the company is going under. Production is going, just super slowly. Refunds, afaik, were always given so far with no strings attached.

This. No matter how niche this phone is there is undeniable demand. I am glad I waited for stock allocation despite months of delays. I really hope Fxtec doesn't flop as a company but even if they do, they existed, there are some phones out there. Since the bootloader is unlocked the community can keep it alive for quite long, turning it into a pretty "rare" collectors item in the worst case scenario. People say how outdated it is but I digress, there are still Blackberries sold for obscene prices (looking at you K series) and the Pro1 tops them in every single aspect. Note these phones a

You know my problem with these updates is that in the last one we were told that only keyboards were problematic and now suddenly more key components are problematic as well... Anyway, fingers crossed for stock allocation next week.

I don't agree. I have been waiting almost 10 months since payment (preordered, mind you) and I still don't have my phone. 600$ may be pocket money for you but it's almost a months worth of salary for me. In case they see themselves go bankrupt I really hope they will give us a heads up so I can get my money back at least before their ship completely sinks.
