Yeah, we all understood that too. But when it became evident that the project had failed and the campaign owners had done a runner, leaving a mountain of un-assembled parts, Indiegogo kept the campaign open while people were still signing up and they continued taking their cut of the proceeds, it's still open now. Some of the backers have managed to secure full refunds from Indiegogo, some are still fighting.

Are there apps around that enable adaptive charging? I'm certain someone has created one for SailfishOS, whereby you set a max charge limit in settings and the phone stops charging at the defined level.
-
Just claimed a freebie 360 case, for the P20 Pro, off Wish. Completely free of charge so if it doesn't fit nothing wasted. π

Problem with Indiegogo is I'm in dispute with them over a failed campaign. Lost over Β£200. π

Be nice if they made something like that for headphones.

At a guess, I'd say it was the shock of the drop that did the worst of the damage. I'm not sure "a few drops of water" would cause any big problems, but that depends on how big the drops of water were. I always worry about dropping my Pro1 when the screen is open. Having said that, yours wasn't open when it hit the floor, was it?

I'll give that a try next time.

I do like that Invisible Shield idea that FBela posted in an earlier post. I might go kick a few backsides in some mobile phone accessory shops, see if they'll take it on.

I'm actually using one of the round connectors in the Pro1 and it sits fine on a table when connected. The MacBook Pro is quite a thin laptop (probably not as slim as the Pro1), I'll post an update when the connector arrives.

On the odd occasion I've experienced the auto rotate getting stuck when the keyboard is closed. This sometimes happens after I've used certain apps (Firefox being one of them) and also when I've changed the wallpaper. Anyone else experienced this at all?

I notice everyone has been cutting the card slots out of the inside front of the cases. I've actually left mine in as extra protection for the screen. But I have found some glass screen protectors for the Huawei P20 Pro in a local charity shop in my town. Wondering what the chances are of them fitting the Pro1. At Β£1 each I suppose it's worth picking one up and giving it a try. π€

I can never work out how to download and install apps from github. It's probably simple and idiot proof, but you know what they say about anything that's idiot proof. π Just ordered one of these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324023691195

P.S. One thing to consider if going with the P20 Pro case is the rubberised grip that holds the phone in place. I've found that the flexibility of this varies between manufacturers. The case I have has a rather soft and flexible grip and it allows me to operate the buttons normally without cutting holes into it. I did get a second case that has a slightly more rigid phone grip and find the buttons are harder to operate though.

Apps that works great with a real keyboard and in landscape

Kodi Media Player works very well from the keyboard in landscape. Just takes a little moment to work out how to navigate the interface by keyboard rather than by touch or mouse. -
I did try the phone upside down in the case but found the hinge/spine of the case impeded access to the power, volume buttons and fingerprint scanner. Besides, you can't use the camera while the phone is in the case.

A nice little clock widget that works well and integrates well with the built in clock. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/community.fairphone.clock/ -

Do you find the widget misbehaves during use. I find the screen goes into edit mode when I tap the widget or select it with the keyboard arrows. -
That case opens in the opposite direction to mine. Did you put the phone in upside down? The front cover of mine opens so it protrudes from under the keyboard.

Finally settled on a Huawei P20 Pro flip case in the end. Thanks for the recommendation EskeRahn. I don't find it awkward with the flip front at all, in fact it makes for a nice little desk just in front of the keyboard π I had to do a bit of chopping about, as you did, but I left the power button, camera and volume controls covered.

I use 2 fingers, one under each corner. Lift then push while bringing the 2 fingers towards you so they catch the hinge. I find this method reduces how much the phone jumps when the screen snaps open.

Power Consumption. How are you finding it
MickH replied to MickH's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I actually find the Pro1 one is quite conservative during use. I've been comparing it with my Sailfish Sony XperiaX. The Pro1 doesn't drain as quick during prolonged use online. -

Anyone know of a decent widget manager? Can't believe Google still hasn't sorted the way Android manages widgets. I remember the N900 whete you could resize and overlap them to create some cool home screens. -

Suggestion No.2 was the culprit. English(UK) was selected. Disabled that and bingo. Thanks for the help and suggestions guys. I'll leave you all to carry on enjoying the festivities.π₯§π°πΊπ» -

Strange. I'm using FF now, but can't get the keys. I'll have to go through settings, see how things are set up. -
How's the battery performing for you guys. I find it a little heavy with moderate use. Battery Pro tells me I have around 1 and a half days on full charge.
