Go to "Settings" -> then open "About Phone" Then scroll down until you see the "Build Number". Tap the build number a few times until you see a message saying "You are now a developer". Close the settings menu and then re-open it. Next go to "System" -> "Advanced". There will be a new menu option that says "Developer Options" tap that, then tap "Memory". Next tap "Memory used by apps". The list that pops up gives you all the apps and services that have used memory recently, see if there's anything in there that looks out of place. Another option is to use the "Running Services"

Can't understand your question. Can you be a bit more specific, please. I've had deliveries from Fed-Ex recently and they always send me a text with a time slot of when they are going to deliver on the day. And it's nearly always within that time slot.

That's what I'm thinking myself. I use Firefox for the extensions. But I've discovered Firefox Focus and Firefox Klar, so I'm going to give those a try.

Been a thing for a few days now. I'll check for updates but I'm on version 68.4.2 at the moment.

I have Nova launcher installed at the moment, but as EskeRahn said above, it's terrible in landscape, specially with widgets and shortcuts. Throws them all over the place.

Does anyone use Firefox for Android at the moment? I'm finding it almost grinds to a halt after about an hour of browsing. The screen refresh starts to lag horrendously and the screen doesn't register taps. I don't think it's an issue with the Pro1, I'm guessing it's more than likely Firefox itself. Opera browser is no problem at all, but I prefer to use Firefox for its extensions.

Yeah, suppose it could go over the fingerprint reader.

You would probably have to make a few minor mods to avoid fouling the buttons on the side of the Pro1.

Brings back memories of when I made my own tripod clamp/stand out of an old pager cradle for my Nokia N73 years ago. Was well chuffed with the results. π

Memory Cards. Recommendations and Suggestions.
MickH replied to MickH's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
Yeah, my mistake. It's 32Gb. There's a PQI app to allow access via a built in file browser, doesn't need to go through a Wi-Fi network, which makes it ideal for on the move. Transferring files is also possible through the app. -

While we're on the subject of storage. This is something I bought a few years ago in a closing down sale for Β£5. It's basically a portable drive that has a 64Gb SD Card inside and connects to supported devices via Wi-Fi. I now have it connected to the Pro1 and was playing 1080p videos from it last night without any issues at all. -

Thanks for the input guys. I'll pop into the camera shop on my next shopping excursion, see what they stock. But I plan on going for the biggest I can afford so as to minimise opening and closing the tray. -
So, what's the score with Micro SDCards? I have a 64Gb Sandisk in my Pro1 and I was told during set up that it was a slow card and may not perform satisfactorily. So I've been ploughing the interwebs for ideas. I'm guessing your usual, no-frills cards are not ideal so we need to go a little more professional. I know basic cards come with speed ratings of Class 1 - 10 (1 being the slowest rating). The Sandisk I have is about Class 4, so errm meh. π I'm thinking I may need to look at (V30) or (V90) as these cards are recommended for use in video cameras etc. For the above reasons

Got my magnetic adapter through today. It's blummin' huge!!! π₯Ίπ₯Ί Way bigger than I thought it would be and (yes EskeRahn) the phone is slightly raised at the bottom end when it's in place. I suppose it's due to the fact that the connector is also for data transfer, whereas the round connectors that I have are charging only.

Yeah, they call it the "Overview Button" in the settings. Only supposed to show up if you have "Swipe Up" switched off.

This discussion made me try something, just out of interest and also to see if the guys at F(x)tec were awake. π I held the phone in landscape, with the slider closed. Then turned it through 180Β°, so it was upside down, then I opened the slider and rotated the phone back through 180Β°. I was half expecting the screen to be locked upside down. But I can confirm that all's good the screen does in fact swing back to the right orientation before locking. ππ

I've found that if you use a 1080x2160 wallpaper the background is static while in portrait. Rotate the phone to landscape and the background is automatically cropped to fit the landscape width and remains static. But if you use a PC desktop size image of say W:1920x H:1080 the background is resized vertically and spanned across the number of home screens that you have, thus creating a parallax effect as you swipe screens. In landscape it's cropped to fit the width so you lose some of the image top and bottom.
-
That's what I'm thinking, as that's the exact spot where the manual rotation icon flashes up if auto-rotate is turned off. I have 4 screens active and it actually appears on each one.

If you have any links to wallpaper/background sites list them here:- Here's a couple that I visit regularly. https://wallpaperaccess.com/1080x2160 https://wallup.net/

Picked up one of these from a local charity shop. https://www.whitestonedome.com/products/huawei-p20-pro-dome-glass Apparently, from what I can tell, it looks like the screen protector will fit the Pro1, but the I'm not sure about the fitting, because the jig is made to take the Huawei P20 Pro, so the Pro1 sits too high to assemble the jig fully.

I'll put this here, as I'm not sure if it's a bug or something confined to my Pro1. Maybe a widget misbehaving, but I've disabled all widgets one at a time as a process of elimination but haven't been able to find out where it's coming from. Not sure what it is but I get this grey area at the bottom right of my screen after closing the slider and the screen going back to portrait mode. When I tap it it disappears, other than that it doesn't do anything at all. Anybody have any ideas?

Not sure, I'm sure it was discussed some time ago on Talk Maemo and someone said he would take a look at creating something.

That's like something Nokia would have produced in the '90s without a doubt.

You have to sign up for a Wish account and I think it's pot luck what freebies pop up in the list.
