    Anyone else noticed that the accented-character selector box, that pops up when long-pressing a key on the hardware keyboard, is garbled in most apps nowadays? One of the last Apps I have that properly supports the feature is QKSMS, where you, e.g., get the following when long-pressing the 'A' key on the hw keyboard: Pretty useful, eh? Sadly, most Apps now display the selector like this: The example is from K9-Mail, but it really happens in most recent Apps that support the ALPHA keyboard features at all.     I'm still using Lineage 16.0 productively, where walking through multiple layouts via Cmd-Space actually works. Did not know this was broken in recent LOS. Still, I much preferred the graphical selector, as I cannot remember the location of characters not printed on the keys ... 😄

    The lineage keyboard driver is different on the linux level of keycode mapping. I guess that is the reason why it may not work with third party remapping apps. However, this is also not necessary, as the LOS driver (on Pro1, not Pro1-X!) natively provides powerful options for remapping of Fn-combos. But that is not the point: I do not want to remember keys not printed on the keyboard. Therefore the popup selector came in very handy for me.     Strange... never noticed this because, in part, I don't use a lot of accented characters, but also, it turns out, testing right now on my Pro1x with Lineage 21, most of the apps I use behave correctly when I hold down the A key. Even Aquamail, which is based on K-9. I did find a couple of apps that do what you describe, but I can't figure out why they are doing it but most don't.

    Later keyboard driver patches in Lineage suppressed unwanted multiple strokes that may originate from the hardware problems you describe. I backported those fixes to my ROM and they work. They do nothing with respect to some keys NOT reacting to a press sometimes, though. All the technical information you provide is certainly interesting. But, from a customer perspective, I would have expected miscalibrated screens to just be sorted out during assembly of the phone. This obviously wasn't done.

    Now that I own two Pro1s, I feel like I'm in a better position to judge whether some problems are by design, in software, or just due to missing QA. Examples: Keyboard: The one of my original Pro1 was slowly starting to fail, with some keys being detected only on the second or third press. Some loyal F(x)tec advocates got close to get me believe the keyboard issues were induced by my self-built Lineage-16 ROM.     I agree some of your comments but not all. In my opinion, F(x)tec tried hard but failed in the end. Some devices were shipped (like mine, both Pro1 and Pro1-X) but many people will probably never receive their phone. However, it is good to point out that Indiegogo backers are different thing than "real" orders from F(x)tec site. I don't know how many ordered the phone via F(x)tec website and never received the phone. Most likely quite many and that sucks. But if you were a backer via Indiegogo then the risk was always there. Solution: Uninstall original LSPosed v.1.9.2 and exchange it with LSPosed v.1.9.3_mod (fork of original LSPosed) - All my Pebble's (smartwatch) are not able to reconnect to these new LOS version (disconnection every 3 sec. ; bt pairing code are invalid)

    My mobile phone is PRO1X. You are right. After using QFIL to flash the official firmware in 9008 mode, it will not enter the system. It jumps to 900E mode after 20 seconds. If I flash the lineageos system, the same version of BOOT.IMG will not enter. To start, you can only enter the lineage system by flashing a different version of boot.img, but there is no wifi and sound, and everything else is normal. What is the reason for this? Help.

    We need to be clear here. IIRC, you have a Pro1x, not a Pro 1. The Elephone U Pro screen will still work, but neither Stock Android 11 nor Lineage OS will fix the margin problem. The only method that has been reported to work is first installing the display in a Pro1, doing the fix and then transferring to the Pro1x. Be aware, I have not done this. Since I don't believe you have a pro1, this is probably not a workable solution, sorry to say.

    AT&T are pretty much out of the question. They are now the most aggressive white-listers and they will boot you. As I said before, people have gotten Verizon working, but, yes it has to be a SIM muled in a Verizon phone approved for ViLTE on their network, and then moved to the Pro1x. T-Mobile and their MVNOs are the only ones in the US that just work, Moving to Lineage still gets you the play store, using MineTheGapps 14 (see the begining of this thread).     After using my Pro1-X for a few months, I confess that I am preparing to move back to the (SD835-)Pro1. Things initially seemed to work out after I had fixed my GSM/LTE connection issues by replacing the antenna board of my Pro1-X.
