  3. False advertising. When preordered, it was stated that they would be delivered before others. There's some type of breach of contract involved there and I bet there would be a chance of a legal case. But waste of time and money and wouldn't get you phone any quicker. Getting upset about it all over again is silly. We went thru this with Clove & Dragonbox last year, and they got 40 each iirc. Sound like this Japanese retailer got even less. Comes down to, if you want the device, and find another way to buy it before your official order comes thru (like when a retailer gets th

  5. Something is definitely in the way when I try to press it back. No movement at all. I thought it was just a notch in the way, that it should hook onto to be held into place. And I've tried gently bending the edge outwards with my fingernail to be able to press down the keyboard, to no avail. It wont budge at all. Disassembly seems like the next thing to try.

  6. If you can easily press it down, but it just pops up again, I think adhesive is a very likely guess. If on the other hand something prevents it from being pressed down easily, something more severe could be the reason.

  7. I've been thinking about what you said here and I think it's a misperception of the Pro1 (although I won't pretend I'm entitled to speak for Chen). I don't think the Pro1 was ever marketed as a "premium" phone and it isn't. First, notice that their marketing motto is "Function is Key." The Pro 1 is much more a descendant of the Nexus phones than a Pixel, iPhone or Samsung phone. It is a very solid midrange phone (with good specs) strapped onto a premium keyboard. My theory is that they really had to do that or we would be looking at a $1200 phone. They poured everything into the keyboard (

  8. @_DW_ Yeah it looks like the battery is on the opposite side (under the camera) so it seems the adhesive indeed let go.

  9. It could be the battery, is the battery on that side of the phone? I assume it is because of dropping the phone, but I noticed it when using the phone one day, not directly after a fall. We don't have a wiki here yet, right? I think I've read something about disassembling the phone before here in the forum...

  11. No it will not work! Unfortunately it does not seem to work on newer phones. I own a few of these wireless pads, different brands. When connected, they lit up the charging LED, but they do not actually charge the phone. This is also the case with for example the Sony XZ1c. It does work on a Sony XZs. Both the Pro1 and the XZ1 act like they are connected to a charger, but do not charge when placed on a wireless charger. This was tested with BaseUs and Samsung wireless charger, both QC and regular. I think they power delivery is too weak. That is why both phones won't charge. The XZs char

  12. That's quite a large bulge. Maybe it's the battery gone bad?

  13. The keyboard assembly is glued together, but it is not glued onto the phone. I would suggest to carefully disassemble it and take a look what exactly got bent.

  14. The off-centre port could be an issue. I've seen a few with longer lead offs so a slight modification could be made with some careful folding.

  16. Anyone else notice that when F(x)Tec posts something to Instagram or Twitter showing the Pro1 taking a photo, the app that's shown is always some kind of GCam port, never the Snapdragon app? I wonder what port the F(x)Tec social media team uses. So far my queries to the social media accounts have gone unanswered...

  17. Right. A lot of us have already received their order - including me - and they are still sending out units. I hope they can fulfill all of their current orders soon. This is a really good phone, so I hope others will also have this piece of rare style but very useful phone with a great keyboard (especially the non-shifted QWERTZ variant but this is only my own opinion as never used the shifted QWERTY one).
