  1. My ear speaker broke lately. (The one you use in calls) Not exactly sure how. Maybe the phone fell too hard onto my couch, or I've used it too rough? Who knows. Anyway I quickly found out after not hearing anyone whom I've called - but the normal speaker did work. So I had to speak to them with the loudspeaker on in public, like a moron. As I didn't want to send back the phone and wait for repair I've asked the support if I can fix it on my own. My initial guess was a simple loose contact as the speaker functions if I firmly press on the speakers region. This is what you should also

  2. I can not thank you guys enough for the work done. But the number of hours i bet you guys have used on this versus the price of the two devices would still leave room for quite some donations without anyone could reasonably consider you greedy...

  3. I'll assume by September, you mean September 2020? This is a user to user forum, so unfortunately there are no answers here, only guesses,. The bad news is that they haven't yet managed to fulfill all the "pre-orders". They said something about another batch going out in early September, but we haven't had that confirmed, nor do we know how large a batch. The good news is, if they do succeed in fulfilling all the pre-orders, there probably isn't a huge number of new orders yet, so it really could be sooner rather than later. You'll really have to ask at info@fxtec.com and se

  4. I really wish FxTec was more communicative. It's super sad to see all the reading between the lines, guessing, and tossing information together because nobody is told what is actually happening or not. I'm not officially authorized to say anything about OTAs, but I will just say don't hold your breath for stock Q or R. But of course Lineage should have Q in probably a couple weeks and then R pretty much as soon as all the other devices.

  5. While still not preaching, I wanted to come back after a week of using this setup and give a follow up. I mean, it sounded great, but it's possible that when the rubber met the road that it would turn out to be a clumsy way to do things. It has worked out even better than I imagined. The functional dividing line between the two devices is crystal clear. The phone (the Moto G8 Power) is always in my pocket although in fact I rarely pull it out except in the car, It is in my pocket so I won't walk out to the car without it. The Pro1 is always with me in the house and that is the device I

  6. I once had an issue with my charger that would only charge devices at slow speeds. Turned out I hadn't inserted the USB A connector all the way. Do you have the Pro1 in a case maybe?

  7. Actually, security updates are not distributed via Play Store in Android 11 but some security holes can be fixed since system modifications are allowed via Play Store. The best Android 11 features you need to know Previously F(x)tec said that Android 10 update is already in the works. If that is true then I would take it. Otherwise it is better to start working with Android 11 update.

  8. To second @EskeRahn , I literally wouldn't be able to use the pro1 without the LOS fixes. And getting Q and R? For me it wouldn't be about "due reward", you guys deserve a goddamn altar 😉 and I would definitely like to be able to show my appreciation.

  9. You are right, I over-interpreted from what I read elsewhere. They only claim this: Google Play System Updates, launched last year, lets us expedite updates of core OS components to devices in the Android ecosystem. In Android 11, we more than doubled the number of updatable modules, and those 12 new modules will help improve privacy, security, and consistency for users and developers. And though that obviously is an improvement it is not including everything. 😥

  10. This is fantastic, is it possible to donate to the lineageOS Project for the pro1 support specifically?

  11. I do not have this problem after the update. My different chargers work and deliver different levels of mA consistently (stock Android). Hope it helps.

  12. I'm betting they will have to refresh the hardware before they get there.

  13. I will suggest to try XDA or the forum for that device/brand. This is the user forum for the F(x)tec Pro1

  14. I applied the latest update QX1000_EEA_2020082531443_2020_0825-2316. Security Patch 5 April 2020 My phone now seems to randomly enter a slow charging mode, which does not charge the battery at all and barely maintains the charge level. This can happen as soon as you plug it in or an hour or so later. When charging overnight, wake up in the morning and 20% battery. I have tried multiple different mA chargers, 3.5, 2.1, 1.5, 0.5. Powerbanks and AC Adapters with random result for each. Seems like the phone is struggling to recognize AC and USB current,
