  1. Okay it finally came in! TL;DR: I'm finally going to move this phone into daily driver status. I've been too afraid to carry it till now (hope the Pro2 has a non-curved screen), but I now have the best screen case for the Fxtec Pro1 available as of now. In the beginning, there was an @EskeRahn flip case special. Then there was a hacked together Huawei case I got from some particular user's recommendation (maybe also an Eskie? Amazon US link) that worked except that I could not fully close the screen enough to be comfortable that I wasn't gonna somehow damage it in my pocke

  2. That is great news! It's been a long time without an adequate case option.

  4. Thanks to all for the replies. For me, SwiftKey always showed in Floating Mode while in Landscape Mode and most of the controls were off screen. By enabling "Show virtual Keyboard" I was able to pull the controls up so i could see and use them. I finally found the option to put it into "Full"-Mode as shown by EskeRahn. I think it's still kind of sad, that SwiftKey seems to be the only one offering this feature, so i guess i am going to submit feature requests for this at the open source keyboard projects, so that weg get a privacy-friendly alternative.

  5. September 2019 and still waiting. We both had the bad luck to be among the last few QWERTZ orderers who couldn't be served with the last batch of QWERTZ keyboards – since then, QWERTZ keyboards have been out of stock. Doesn't help either of us, but even considering the generally huge delivery times our case is still something of an outlier.

  8. Please share how I can get rid of this screen-waste. How do I hide the Toolbar on Microsoft SwiftKey? We recently made a change to the Toolbar on your Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard. Just tap the icon to the left of the prediction bar to close or hide the Toolbar. Tap theicon when you want to expand or open your Toolbar.

  9. This has spark amazing conversation I wasn't expect it. I do wonder though, has anyone pre-ordered or paid within the march to now time frame and when did they received the phone if they did? I'd love to know if anyone has, they might give a better idea on time frames.

  10. I had to delete some of the content our very crafty users found about this :). We can’t share anything for certain until the 27th, as there’s still a lot of graphical (presentation) work undergoing, pricing is being drafted and more. What you may have seen is far from final, hence the links were taken down.

  11. Technically, I did get mine in 3 months. If you count from when it was paid, Aug 1st, I was notified of stock fulfillment Nov 4th. Of course, then US Customs blocked it and I didn't get it until December 10th or so. On the other hand, if you count from when they actually started filling orders, which wasn't until October 2019, it was very fast. Then COVID hit. The lockdown ending isn't the only variable. As far as I know, factories in China are still not back up to full production, nor fully manned. I haven't seen a current analysis, so I'd be happy to find out I'm wrong.

  12. @Ralf as neither of us know what it is all about, it is much a guessing game. In a small company people have to fill a lot of slots. But it is not that everyone can fill every slot... So using marketing hands for say packing or service are not likely to be very effective way to use their resources. But sure we would all wish they were able to fulfil pending orders and service request faster, but as we do not know neither what is holding things up, nor what this new stuff is all about we have absolutely no idea if the same hands behind this could sensibly have been used for fulfilling

  13. @EskeRahn I see you are confused, so let me explain a bit more. In my opinion ALL resources (human and financial) of f(x)tec should go toward fulfilling customer orders. No matter what the "something special" is, there is money and work spend on it. And now, imagine this "something special" is pretty cool and people want to buy it? F(x)tec can not deliver, so all the work and money invested into "something special" is just wasted. That is unless "something special" is just designed to funnel money out of the company as "marketing spend" and then back into the private pockets of the f

  14. I received one I ordered to be printed yesterday, but I think it came out a tiny bit too small...the front bumper doesn't quite fit and the rear cover isn't close to fitting.
