  1. (emphasis mine) 🤣 Sorry, couldn't resist ... You are right, that we are going off-topic.

  3. Hmm I think we are drifting away from the Astro Glide with the last few comments. I bet there are better threads for these discussions.

  4. I have read posts by Chen that could be interpreted in that way. But is this really an active and official F(x)tec development goal? I doubt it, as I thought they they do not even have the codes themselves and just license the blobs. More likely, it could just mean that they support community-driven reverse-engineering of drivers by providing test devices to Linux kernel developers. That would certainly be a good thing. But neither technically nor legally is this the same as open-sourcing the presently-used kernel of the Pro1. It is also a much slower process and there are chances that, t

  5. First look of the protective case which is still WIP. This will be a free gift for users placed their pre-order. Feedback we received so far: - Making colour into transparent grey instead of pure transparent - Using softer silicon material What is your thoughts? ;)

  6. Hi! I'm making an app and would want to show screenshots on fxtec pro 1 rather than a generic iphone device, is there some marketing material (like 3d models, pdf files, vector graphics, etc) available for this usecase? Preferably royalty free and without too much restriction. Thanks!

  7. The sound quality during a call is bad. The speaker at the upper-front part of the phone near the front camera is of bad quality. I don't think it's a software issue. Just the speaker is scratchy. I am forced to turn on speakerphone mode which redirects the audio to the bottom loudspeaker of the phone to understand the other party.

  8. F(x)tec is trying to get all the stuff required for the phone to work linux mainlined. Maybe F(x)tec have all the drives open-source at this time?

  9. Just to dig up an old thread... I've been working at my desk more than usual for the last few weeks, and I found that I kept losing the Pro1 under the various piles of paper, and that because the back isn't flat, I always have to pick it up to do anything so it doesn't rock around the desktop... So I drew up a quick desk stand design for the 3D printer. I'm up to about iteration 5 over the last 2 days, and I think this works pretty well. Happy to send the STL file if anyone else wants to print one. Equally would like to see whatever others have come up wit

  10. Good thinking. You could also try to mitigate that problem with Fx Service screen filter. The screen filter code could also be tweaked to do something smart about it. I don't see much of that greenish tint issue when staying within system brightness level. However when using low brightness on Fx Service screen filter it becomes evident. By setting colour filter to something like #26AA00AA you can indeed offset that issue.

  11. I have maybe idea about fix amoled colors/brightness. How about find stock firmware for elephone with same display, unpack/decompile it and find display settings? Maybe have elephone same problem with colors but i mean that on elefone will be all ok. Here must be settings something like : when is brightness set to 50% then colors will be red 70%, green 60%, blue 50 and white 50...approx. good or bad idea? here is: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8hg1rl60o0bef1y/Elephone_U_Pro_20180227_QFIL.zip/file
