Just to wake up an old thread (some call it "necroposting" 😛 ) Here's a little sidebar/launcher I found while browsing the store in Aurora store. It's called "Ivy". It's free with no ads and they just ask for a donation. And what's more is the customisation options are almost endless. Takes a little getting used to but once you grasp it it works great in both portrait and landscape. 😁

I have to replace mine too. I already have the screen, just haven't come around to start fiddling with a hairdryer and glue 😒. Fortunately I own a spare frame which I can use. I'll try to take a couple of pictures of the process. Maybe this weekend.

When I connect my Pro1 I just get a mirrored screen. No additonal settings. The peripherals all work (connected to my screen) but no separate settings for a desktop-environment. And my phone has been configured to complete darkness 😉

A hairdryer may not be the best solution because of the excessive air flow and uncontrolled temperature. A proper heat gun would be a much better tool anyway. Also, ensure to use a proper (not too strong but suitable) glue, I think something has arrived together with the screen which should be good.

Thanks for this one. It's a bit closer to home. However I've now applied a matt screen protector and the crack is invisible. It's not affecting the screen use in any way, but I may get a spare, just in case.

I've now had about 8 calls in the setup above. I've not enabled WiFi calls again yet. Only one of those has had some "buzzing" - so it seems to made an overall improvement to call quality. In the call that was buzzing moving around a little improved the quality. (I suspect - signal strength may be related too) Obvious downsides to this is you lose 4G - which is not really a problem for me for what I use mobile data for usually - plus currently I'm still housebound with WiFi. Also this is only my experience, obviously. I'd be very interested if others have tried this and get similar result

Remember that there are TWO apps with the same name "Wireless Update", and that you have to click Ellipsis and "Show system" to have them included on the app list first. I do not know which one is required, I would suggest to clear for both.

Yeah, that is a pity. I have been talking about this earlier. Currently I cannot write @ symbol with QWERTZ using Finnish layout. It is possible to modify KCM file with root but it is a quite hassle. Anyway I upgraded from official LOS 17.1 to 18.1 without issues (dirty flash). Just downloaded the files to my se card and flashed them vie LOS recovery. No need for PC and ADB access.
