Did some tests of my device last weekend. There has been quite much skepticism however the construction of the sliding mechanism is robust enough. Hypothesis During severe mechanical impact the sliding mechanism will take the most damage. Method Put the device on the roof of an automobile and drive 3km on the highway in 100km/h Result Everything broke except sliding mechanism and the keyboard. Reflection It is not recommended to transport your device on the roof of your car. The sliding mechanism of the F(x)tec Pro1 is a strong an3 points

To make absolutely sure we are talking about the same keycap labels, does your QWERTZ Pro1 match this image? I have confirmed that my Pro1 generates the same characters for each key as shown in this image when configured to use the QWERTZ physical layout and German keyboard layout.2 points

SOLD / TRADED I have decided to sell my spare Pro1. Why? because I'm willing to give the Pro1x a go. This one had a defective screen (DOA). In the meanwhile I gave my daughter my own phone and after three weeks she decided the camera was worthless. Afterwards I received a replacement screen, with a glue blob lower left corner, which I replaced. You can contact FxTec and probably get it replaced again. I'm not gonna bother, and I assume you all know why. This phone is new. Look at the pictures, it's been lying in the box for almost a year now (after I replaced the screen provided by FxTec)2 points

Well, my keyboard works! I deactivate many apps. Now I will check which app was the problem. Special thanks to @Sean McCrearyand of course @EskeRahn for your time and support!!! Edit 1: The app which change my keyboard layout was KeyMapper Edit 2: The app which changed the layout too was AutoInput (for Tasker)1 point

I use a black wallpaper, so not an issue. 😅1 point

I'm saying my Pro1 will generate the characters matching the key labels in the image you posted when configured correctly. If only the physical layout is set to QWERTZ, but the keyboard layout is set to English then the keys generate characters almost the same as what you are reporting.1 point

OK, thank you for the image. Am I correct that the differences only affect the diagonal yellow arrow 'shift' on two keys? On my Pro1, when set to QWERTY and German both of the changes in cyan match the character generated by the key.1 point

With the physical layout set to QWERTZ but the keyboard layout set to English, my Pro1 generates the following characters: 1234567890-= qwertyuiop[] asdfghjkl;' \zxcvbnm,./ This is almost the same as what you report, except 'y' is swapped with 'z', '-' is swapped with '/', and the bottom-left key generates '\' instead of '+'. Is it possible you still have a keyboard remapping app enabled, and your keyboard layout is not set to German in Settings -> System -> Languages & input -> Physical keyboard -> Builtin Keyboard ?1 point

Yes, of course, thanks for your help on this position! - I don´t wanna switch the languages with CTRL-Space. This was just a test / information, which doesn´t work. - when QWERTZ is selected... 1st row: 1234567890 ... / instead ß ... = instead ´ 2nd row: q w e r t z u i o p ... [ instead ü ... ] instead + 3rd row: a s d f g h j k l ... ; instead ö ... ' instead ä 4th row: + instead < ... y x c v b n m , . - (if you would like to know the special characters, they´re not 100% correct, too... tell me) - Physical layout is: QWERTZ (sorry to say that 🙃)1 point

I think that is a minor issue of the display, it is not glue residue. However, it practically doesn't matter. My original display did not have such an issue, but all the displays I bought at Aliexpress had a similar issue in at least one corners, sometimes two... and one of them has a black spot in a very wrong place. My current display has a bit bigger black spot in the upper right corner anyway. So although it is not perfect, practically it does not make problem living together with it - at least I had to look at my phone to find out which corner is the location of this issue f1 point

Could you provide a bit more information to help us develop a test case? I see you have a QWERTZ Pro1, but which languages do you want to use CTRL-space to switch among? Also, which specific keys do not produce the characters you want? If none of them are correct except 'Z' and 'Y', then I suspect you have the wrong physical layout. To check this in the settings app on LineageOS 18.1, look at System -> Languages & input -> Physical keyboard -> Advanced settings -> Physical layout. You should be able to switch between the QWERTY and QWERTZ variants there. Edit: To be v1 point

Are you using the FinQwerty app or another user-customized key map? So far I have had no luck duplicating these problems on a vanilla LineageOS installation (with or without gapps).1 point

The 2021-06-05 patches have been fully merged into Lineage branches 16.0, 17.1 and 18.1 only today. That was too late for the build bot. It should come next week, I guess.1 point

Thank you in advance, I wrote you a private message. Anyway, the photos you uploaded was greatly reduced by forum engine I think and that is why the actual state is not clearly visible.1 point

You can have the main board, just pay the shipping. Will take some photos.1 point

I was thinking of a potential replacement main board (I haven't seen if it has any injury and if so, how bad) and also I was thinking of experimenting with the play of hinges... Anyway, if you find anything valuable regarding the play of hinges, please share with us.1 point

I apologise for spamming the thread, but I do think it's important to point out that with GSM/WCDMA preferred + WiFi calling enabled on Lineage 18.1 I've had a further 7 calls without quality taking a hit. I'll stop posting for now. :)1 point

You shouldn't need to provide it. Canadian carriers have done away with CDMA so it's not like they need to whitelist your ESN, If they do ask via an online check, just enter 1111111111119 . I've jumped between carriers (Fido, Bell, Telus) and never really needed to provide it, just stick your SIM in. Also, I use mine on Telus, which shares a network with Bell. You'll be fine.1 point

Ouch. :S Just a question... would you sell its pieces together? I don't know if it may be usable for anything, but it may worth a try...1 point
