  1. I have tried both. AICP offers more tweaks that I like. Lineage seems very vanilla to me-- I used to use Dirty Unicorns. I don't think there is much of a difference in their core functionality. Now that AICP has become official, it is updated weekly with a reliable OTA updater. I have not had problems with either Lineage or AICP's updater. I do use Magisk, but only for SU, I am encrypted according to settings (I only use swipe access).

  3. I feel similar to Hook. The lineage is a cleaned up Android, where you can infest it with the Gapps you need or none at all to your liking. The Aicp is (in my layman terms) like a Lineage with added options to tweak as you please. I like the AICP better, as it somehow feels cleaner. But I must admit that I barely use all the options, as none of the OS's are on my daily driver (a normal retail unit) that runs plain Android. I have a suspicion (though I have not yet tested!) that some of my apps will not work if I upgrade from stock Android to AICP. One app that I find crucial with a fli

  4. Actually I really enjoy that kind of manual activity, it is such pleasant change from software engineering.

  5. Custom flip bookcase based on Huawei P20 Pro, I recently switched from a thicker one to this low profile one. The former I used for over 18 months. I'm also not excluding going back to it depending on how well that later one is working out.

  6. Here is an image of the keyboard prototype for the pinephone. Appears very similar to planet computers keyboard design. I still feel fxtec pro1 keyboard geared toward thumb typing and a full 60% keyboard layout is vastly preferable for linux users to this type of layout. Hopefully, pinephone will make a slider keyboard with a layout similar to pro1's one day. Actually, it sounds like they're already working on one: https://liliputing.com/2020/07/pinephone-linux-smartphone-could-get-a-slide-out-keyboard-acessory.html

  7. Interesting, this could explain strange behaviour with this the randomly aspect. For my curiosity, what sort of case are you using ?

  10. 14. More than a month is gone again and I got a MESSAGE!! Even though I didn´t push them!! But the more unbelievable this mesage is, the more funny it is!! I have been told, that the camera is going to be ready (so again nobody knows when..) to be shipped and asking for my address, so I can replace it myself. Well, I would be happy to do so, BUT!! the phone is somewhare in London (perhaps?). So my opinion became this: The phone repair is taking soooooooo fu***ng long, that they even forgot about the phone 😄 😄 Isn´t it sarcastic? 😄 Message arrived on 15.10.2021, last contact 10.09.2021 = diff.

  11. I received an email on the 14th of October asking me to inform them when my phone would be sent. I sent it on the 10th of September and it was delivered on the 14th of September, included a link and delivery report. Can you believe this shit!?!? Their new address: FX Technology Technology Chalfont St Peter Building 1 Chalfont Park SL90BG Gerrards Cross Verenigd Koninkrijk And to my luck, PostNL changed their tariffs I noticed just now now. This package is not insured. I will file a complaint with PostNL. But since they used Hermes for the UK, I'm guessing i
