This is because Pro1's SoC (SDM835) became unavailable for F(x)tec. They had promise of SDM835 for Pro1-X manufacturing but it was sold to someone else and Pro1-X had to be redesigned which caused an additional but huge delay as they had to redesign the phone, re-test everything and build up software environment for its new SoC...

Thank you for your reply! I will continue to be patient, as I really want this phone. I've sent a support email asking Fxtec to please make sure mine ships with LineageOS, so hopefully this email is seen before the phone ships.

I'm sorry for my little bit of humor in the middle of seeking help. I completely understand, We are much alike (I am 69). I too usually need directions to follow. I think you only need to do a factory reset, which should be somewhere in settings, probably under "System". This will give you a clean version of Lineage with all your apps and data wiped. I understand your hesitation, and it may not work, It's more of a test to see if it is a software problem. I had my touchscreen completely stop responding to touch. Yeah, the IGG crowd seemed to be getting really hot last night. Not that they made the deadline anyway, but it probably should've been considered that IGG is on Pacific Standard Time (GMT-8). Regardless, we'll see if there are any repercussions for "missing the deadline" for their monthly update. I might be too used to setting my expectations really low.

Considering how people here and on IGG analyse (and maybe over-interpret?) these monthly reports, I think they spend quite some time writing those up. I can imagine they plan very carefully what to publish and how to present it in a way such as to cause least damage to the project. It is easy for us to ask for more honest reports and estimates, but unfortunately it is also a fact that many customers need the harsh reality to be "embellished" for them, or else they jump ship. And why should they? It wouldn't take 5 minutes to tell everyone what they already know - that production was not finished before Chinese New Year - so why not fulfil their obligations and post it? If production was complete there would surely have been a happy update so they're just annoying everyone by saying nothing rather than only annoying the vocal 10% of backers who don't understand crowdfunding.

I like most the ones that tell me F(x)tec is a fake company and that my Pro1 does not exist. 🙃 Thinking that through, it follows that we in this forum as well as all other people publishing Pro1 videos on the web, discussing bugs and hardware issues, making custom ROMs, etc., are just actors hired to distract from the fact that Fxtec have long moved to the Caribbean where they spend their backer's money on expensive cigars. One wonders if setting up such an elaborate smoke screen would really be easier (or cheaper) than just producing the phone after all ...

Backers of the engraved edition received an email to send their logo's in before the 12th of February. That could mean I would receive my Pro1X before my original Pro1 is repaired and returned to me 🥲 (September '21).

what is the status on the phone ? are we any closer to it being shipped then 2021 or 2020 ? im so glad that last year i decided to purchase another phone because the pro 1 x should have been delivered already 1 year ago and we were waiting for a hot min back then already i mean i gave up on getting the phone ever , but does not hurt to complain about it every once in a while

I was, of course, half joking. But, actually, I guess Mrs. Hook and I are just different from a lot of folks. She has her money and I have my money. We share expenses (proportional to differences in income), both contribute to savings, but we each spend our money as we like after that. She has her obsessions and I have mine. 😉

I emailed asking for an update on February 1, 2022 (last one was 12/1/21). I got an auto-reply that my message was received on Feb. 2, but no status update as of yet.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, no! I emailed exactly what their terms dictate they require. This was by return to a support ticket on 2nd Feb and a fresh email to info@fxtec on 3rd Feb just in case. I'll send them a reminder in another 7 days before I change my game up.

I completely sympathise with the sentiments on IGG! These people invested in a company that has so far delivered nothing in return. Crowdfunding has always struck me as witchcraft so I just bought my 1-X as a consumer last April with an advertised August shipping. When I chased them late last year, apart from the blatant spin, one of the things I was fobbed-off with was to follow their updates on IGG. In production or not, unless I get an update that is to my liking by the end of this week I'll be getting my money back and walking. Whilst I still want the phone with a keyboar
