That's rather underwhelming, then again I don't think the Pro¹ can do better. In fact it seems many flagship devices have rather disappointing resolution for external displays. I think even my Huawei P30 Pro was rather limited too. Not that I care so much wherever I have a high resolution screen I usually have a PC attached to it.

I swapped my faulty display assembly with one from another Pro1 and it's been working great ever since. It was like 8 months ago.

If I recall well I built-in a feature in Fx Service to disable the touch screen, then you are in keyboard only mode 😁 use at your own risks. I've been there too, hope you can get it fixed soon.

Was contemplating trying out LOS. Came here to see what was going on: Keyboard issues for international layouts. Bluetooth issues. Bricked device. Vanishing builds from servers. Mmmh, me think I'm going to stick to stock a while longer 😁 It looks like the LOS team is just pumping out builds with no dev actually caring and using them. I'm assuming @tdmis still MIA, right?

That's some bad luck, the one I replaced around June last year is still go strong. I wonder what happend to @hka. Did you get your repeat failure fixed too?

I don't understand. Are you saying they can't print so many yellow labels? To be honnest I don't think it matters much if they are yellow or white. Though it would be better if the secondary function of keys was printed in yellow but that's not a show stopper IMO.

Updated new AZERTY layout proposal so that we have both minus and plus key directly accessible as those are often used as shortcuts. The missing star key primary character is now accessible using shit+plus.

It feels like those stickers should stay in place on the Pro1 keys providing that you clean the keyboard properly before putting them on. But you have a good point, the convex keys could prove more challenging and stickers could slide off more easily indeed.

Keypad on the side:

I’d love to test that but I just put the last three stickers on 😏 I did not put them at first cause that keyboard has a non standard num-lock functionality and those keys could be used to calibrate yourself when using it. But it turns out those stickers look that good I wanted to have them on anyway. Truth is I'm hardly ever using that num-lock since I have a keypad on the side. Also no frame on the stickers sheet.

I just converted a classic AZERTY keyboard to the new AZERTY keyboard layout using stickers from tastaturaufkleber.eu. I'm really impressed with the quality of those stickers. They also claimed they are compatible with backlite keyboards so I tried them on such keyboard and they indeed let some of the light through. It's very impressive. Also the white prints are so bright anyway they are very readable. It would be great if we could get the guys at tastaturaufkleber.eu to do stickers for our beloved Pro1s. It would be even better if we could get FxTec to provide empty keyboard prints

Converted one of my keyboards to that new AZERTY layout, three to go. It is so much better for typing French and foreign European languages. Since I've been living in Germany for over 16 years I do love the fact the the ß is on the keyboard. What's also really cool is easy access to Greek letters. Makes it a lot easier when writing math and science papers. αβδΔΓ love it… Easy access to ellipsis characters is also awesome. 😁

Bitwarden should work with Fulguris once the following changes are merged and released: https://github.com/bitwarden/mobile/pull/1333 I can't tell you how long that will take as I'm not familiar with the bitwarden project. I've tested those changes and it seems to work nicely.

So looks like we will never see this fixed in stock since we are most certainly not getting Android 10 now that Pro1X switched to another SOC.

Actually I think Pro1-X layout should use the new AZERTY layout. It's vastly superior to the legacy AZERTY and will work much better on Pro1-X keyboard where we can only print two characters per key. I'll update my proposal accordingly.
