I'm in the 64 range and haven't gotten a stock confirmation either. Then again, I paid by direct bank transfer quite a few weeks after the payment request went out. Even though that was not by choiche but by circumstance, I'm afraid that has negatively impacted my spot in the queue...

So, realistically speaking, is there any chance that if you're not in this batch, the phone will be on the doorstep before Christmas?

No, function is key!

Discussion and testing on features and known&potential issues

It's pretty cool actually that you can now just use the hardware keys to circumvent a nonresponsive screen, without the use of a hard reboot! -
did someone say... hype? Hype? HYPE! ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN!!! CHOO CHOO M*THERF*'S!!! 🚄

Rejected or concept QWERTY sliders
michael.bosscha replied to Flash-a-holic's topic in General Discussion
Back when the guy made this concept, e-ink was way too niche to even consider, let alone colored. Nowadays, for that kind of screen it would work wonders yeah... -
Rejected or concept QWERTY sliders
michael.bosscha replied to Flash-a-holic's topic in General Discussion
I had hoped that BlackBerry would one day make a landscape slider, but it was not meant to be... I really hated the lucky few who got their hands on an N950. Hot damn what a gorgeous piece of machinery that was. I'm positive Nokia's mobile division would have survived The Treason if they had produced it. Heck, if HMD would decide to go ahead and update the internals and leave the dimensions as-is, I would buy it in a heartbeat! As for my personal favorite out-there fan concept: the Nokia Envelop! -
Congrats Hook! Try to not make us all jealous 😉

The point he's trying to make, even though I too think he didn't got that over quite clearly, is that we're all in the same boat here. I understand that you all, just as I, have paid for a product and you want it NOW because that's what was promised. But we're talking a small company which doesn't have the same heft as a Samsung. Sammy can probably push their contracted factory to work harder, plus that they can react way faster to changes that need to be made in the hardware in relation to the software. I want my phone as much as everyone here, even though I've been told that my view of a too

I stand corrected. Actual phones carrying the chipset were released later in 2017, making the chip two years old by now. You still don't say anything about the rest of my post, though. Plus: the 835 is a high-end chip and will serve us for quite some time. We're basically getting an S8 with an additional keyboard! When FX gets its shit together and becomes big enough to matter, THEN we'll get qwery with current specs. Up until that time: quit bitching about "older hardware". Because none of us are prepared to pay iBlah price upwards of a grand for their phone...

That's BS. Those phones will not deliver the experience the Pro1 will give you. You're comparing phones which are 8 years old at best, to a chipset from last year. Give me a break...

See @netman's reply. He posted a transcript for your reading pleasure.

I concur that the video is vague about the exact moment of shipping. That's a bummer, but at least it's the promised video update and I, for one, am happy about it. Probably going to be mid- to late November though. If that crazy shopping holiday doesn't spoil the fun; I really need this before Christmas guys!

Order number weren't sequentially generated. I don't know how much we have to keep saying it but that's not the case. So even if he could give it, nothing can be learned from that piece of information.

In all honesty, I said before that a mid-November in-hand time looked more likely than early. That got downplayed a lot, but it would seem that I'm closer to it than what a lot of other people are hoping. Face it: assuming mid-November and getting it earlier is a lot better than assuming early and getting it mid- to late November...

Such hype. I really hope to get that sweet, sweet tracking number soon...

Thanx for the heads-up @Erik! You need to understand the people don't really care if there's news or not; they just want an update, especially since there was some silence since the skipped email. Asia, it would seem, will get their handsets faster, with the units not arriving at the UK fulfillment centre for at least a few days. That means... Half november for us mainland Europeans?

I bought the GameGripper for my N900 back in the day and it was the best piece of hardware I bought for that wonderful brick. I would order one without a second thought if you started making new ones for the Pro1 , @Hyrum!

The great thing about the new software is that the hideous font is gone. I, for one, am quite happy with that...

That €650,- was a pre-order price, and perhaps some people are still on that one. But for regular orders, it's more expensive. We were warned about this in advance...

Well, it seems we're still alive. Better yet, the new software has given us a much needed design overhaul. Great job FX! -

About time, and it's good to know that it will be implemented before the final product lands on our doorsteps. Good things! -
Good. We're 7 days away from shipping, even though us users are still unsure if that's shipping to the fulfillment centres, or to us. I'm really curious as to why Erik gets told stuff (which he can't wait to share with us) and then gets corrected by a different teammember later (anywhere between a few and some more days). Apparently, if there's a PR, maybe that person needs to give us the updates instead? Because I get the feeling the anger turns to Erik while he can't do anything about it, and that makes me feel bad for him. Give us that Director's Update, guys. It shouldn't be that much o

Guys I NEED this phone because omg I keep mstyping and I'm getting RSI from needing to baclspace everytime. But yeah. Ima need this phone ASAP to impress some people.

I can't empathise enough. If you're using this device as a replacement, you're bound to find weird issues you never thought were even a problem. And yes: I'm quite sure that if all went well, FXtec would've replied for a batch order. Erik already pushed again for it, but perhaps you should send an email again, @JohnnyB...
