Well my thinking is it'd only happen once in a blue moon, if at all. And it would be fairly easy to deal with in most cases, even a non-mod could simply place a post exposing their trickery.

I would also vote in favor of unlimited editing, absuse can be dealt with manually, we have report button and I don't think it would be commonplace.

To me this looks much harder to get used to than the completely shifted qwerty, but because of reasons I'd imagine are fairly personal. It's a cool idea.

I think eventually we will figure it out, I'd be highly surprised if they had a battery custom made (don't think that'd make economical sense).

There's an option to start following a thread somewhere at the top which amounts to the same.

Even with BlueTooth gamepads existing I can see a lot of merit in having a passive purely mechanical solution, since it needs no batteries and attaches very nicely to the phone. Also it looks pretty sturdy compared to rigid electronical controllers, like you could toss it in a bag without worrying about it 🙂.

I have reported a lot of them going trough what was marked unread. Do they arrive? Important thing to note is that where you should look is the top right of a post when you have the mouse hovering over it, only then the "report post" link appears, it's not immediately obvious.

Brute forcing email addresses out of it would be a totally insane endeavor I think, so not much harm in it. You could only figure out if you have someones e-mail address whether they are registered or not, which doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

The photos sent in for FCC approval show a number on the battery, I couldn't find any info from that though. Maybe someone more skilled at this has better luck?

A question I had but already know the answer to (thanks dr oswaldo) is how to get a link to a specific post: the "posted ?? minutes ago" doubles as a link to a post.

I had no idea what you were talking about until I noticed if you type a reply, go away and come back to the thread your half typed reply is still there. A cancel button or simply not persisting those posts would be nice indeed.

In my case when I tried to login account was locked and I had to reset my password, before I could get in. Wasn't too difficult though if it's happening to you and you read this, just reset your password I guess :). The new forum seems absolutely excellent so far.
