  1. I really thought you were kidding, but apparently not. Consider me utterly confused. Delivery without tracking number? That could go seriously wrong in my case: they tend to put the delivery notice at a place were it's very likely to get lost.
  2. Unless you are prepared to claim responsibility for the mysterious disappearance of both the third and fourth batches, which both appear to be MIA, I'd say so. From the reactions, though, I guess it's not that obvious.
  3. What do you mean? They gave us an update barely two days ago! Most likely, he's kidding.
  4. The 6 months are likely about charge-backs. The actual period during which you have this option solely depends on your bank, as far as I know. It's also a last measure kind of thing, and it's not warranted here. Basically, the bank protects your from fraudulent merchants that fail to deliver without reimbursing you. It breaks the suspicion of innocence on the merchant's part: by default, the customer wins, unless the merchant can prove they did nothing wrong. Do not use this against F(x)tec at this time. You would basically be abusing a rather significant customer protection law (and thus, pro
  5. I am unclear on whether this also means EU customers are sent their devices directly as US ones are.
  6. From the "2019/12/12" date written on the stickers in the picture with the boxes, I'd say those are on time to be batch four, but are more likely batch three that left the factory one week/batch late (if they've left already). Edit: From replies I've gotten on the Discord: BOE are screens, so those boxes do not contain Pro1s.
  7. It's useful when you want to estimate how many pre-orders are still supposed to precede yours. That other thread is useful to get info if you already know you are part of a batch (and to know that batches are still being sent). Not the same purpose, in my opinion. Since it has more info that the other thread, it should also confirm whether payment date matters (which is slightly skewed by the fact that pre-order number influences the date you were sent the payment email anyway) or give us more data to pointlessly speculate on whatever logic is being followed.
  8. Hopefully this won't get merged into the usual thread, as this is interesting when we try to make our futile attempts at understanding how the shipping orders are determined. Date of Pre-Order: Fri, 22 Mar 2019 10:20:07 (GMT) Order Number: 103xx IGG Coupon: No Model: QWERTY Location: EU (France) Date of Payment: Thu, 1 Aug 2019 06:06:37 (GMT) Stock Assigned Email: No Tracking Number: No Phone Received: No
  9. Not on the label, but the top right box has "100pcs" written on it pretty clearly. What do the words above mean?
  10. I am unclear on which batch(es) are affected, but I assume this implies further delays.
  11. Some update on that: someone has already managed to get Gentoo Prefix running on Sailfish OS, so I am guessing it is indeed doable. They've even been so kind as to provide instructions and files to let others replicate the process: https://together.jolla.com/question/210626/has-anyone-tried-installing-gentoo-prefix/?answer=219122#post-id-219122. 🙂
  12. That thread is meant to only contain messages of people indicating that they received stock assigned or tracking number emails (or phones). Other messages get merged into this thread.
  13. Oh, I guess we read that differently, then. To me, the message does not state that the devices left the factory. I understand it to mean that Erik had the same info as we did, and so assumed that they did indeed left the factory, but wasn't sure and was going to ask for confirmation (which is also what we're trying to get) and report back. From your message, I thought confirmation was given somewhere.
  14. Wait, I must I've missed something. In what post did f(x)tec say that?
  15. I guess asking for spontaneous updates when delays happen does not help. Let's do this instead. Dear F(x)tec, please never inform us of delays when they occur. We greatly appreciate being left in the dark until someone starts a rumor about a potential delay and we don't get confirmation for days, after which it is all like the new ETA was what was announced all along.
  16. (I am assuming all these posts are going to be moved, so I'll join the conversion in the wrong thread anyway) From experience, you have two possibilities for paying import fees: either they ask during delivery, or they mail you the invoice later. The choice is not always up to you (I know that my local FedEx goes for the second option, and does not mention that there will be a fee later during delivery).
  17. Nice to know. 🙂 That sounds familiar, so I take it we get one batch per week. The info is rather incomplete without even an order of magnitude for what constitutes a batch though.
  18. It has been merged with "On the production status" as they ended up talking about the same issue(s).
  19. Customers hate him! Learn this simple trick to set a fixed ETA that will be held for sure.
  20. According to their posts, anonim001 is from Poland, does not have an IGG coupon, has a fairly high order number (12xxx), and did not paid very fast. netman has no coupon either. On the Discord channel, we've been trying to figure out what logic was behind the "stock assigned" messages that were sent, but so far, no theory fits all 6. Except maybe that it's a ploy by F(x)tec to drive us crazy. 😄
  21. Pretty sure older posts in this (very long) thread actually indicated the opposite, by mentioning how the purchase plugin works. Here's an example of one. Additionally, it is very likely that not every person who initiated a pre-order followed up by a purchase.
  22. I was watching my inbox after netman announced he got an email for stock assignement. I did get an email from F(x)tec: That's not the stock assignment I was hoping for (I have an order number around #103xx, no coupon, and it's for the EU), but it's definitely the kind of email update I've been wanting F(x)tec to start sending whenever there's a delay. The second bullet point actually goes further than I expected, by telling us why there has been a delay.
  23. Any chance the reason why they keep having to delay is that whatever transport they've booked is contingent on other bookings being made so that the journey is as profitable as possible for the shipping company, hence the delays being imposed until that point is reached? It would make sense, but I would be surprised if such deals did not include some kind of deadline at which point shipping has to occur regardless. Again, that's pure speculation since we have not been getting that kind of details so far. I took it to mean that the shipping of devices started, i.e., pointing out th
  24. I'm sure kashif would go for $02000.
  25. I am guessing that this is due to the Pro1 being From what I understand, the "Adups FOTA V 5.5, which has been certified by Google Security Team" would actually trigger alarms from current anti-viruses. But sure, if people are convinced that now that it's at version 5.26, there's no way it's going to be yet another spyware, go ahead. I'd just feel compelled to warn you against any offers to buy the Brooklyn bridge, is all.
