NOTE: Camera app is working again but is exhibiting strange behaviour. 1. Open with hardware camera button. Picture preview does not show. Need to open a gallery app separately to see picture. 2. Open with software button. Picture preview shows and opens gallery app. 3. Rotation Control app I use seems to fight the app. Squeezing the view finder but not the app. Adjusting settings seems to fix this. 4. Did get an error and had to clear cache and data again

It was a long shot, I have noticed that sometimes adjusting seemingly unrelated settings fixes things. My Pro1 does not have volume issues.

Have you tried "Force activites to be resizeable" in developer options? I don't use the split screen function. I prefer to use double tap on recent activities to switch between apps in full screen.

Thanks. >Settings >Storage >Other Apps >SELECT Snapdragon Camera >SELECT Clear Storage and >SELECT Clear Cache No re-installation of app required. Confirmed Solution.

As a long shot have you tried the "disable absolute volume" option located in developer options?

My Snapdragon camera has more issues than the early settlers of Australia. I got 3 great photo's out of the camera now it just shows black with icons. Also shuts down with errors, not responding. I have cleared the cache but not data. I cannot find Snapdragon Camera on google play. If I delete it I am not sure where to re-install it from. Other camera app 'A Better Camera' is not giving good photo's

I have been using the stock launcher coupled with side menu app. This has made it easier getting to settings and apps etc in landscape and portrait mode. Side Bar Lite FREE with upgrades https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mohammad.adib.sidebar.lite Offers shortcuts and great app draw to scroll through. Everywhere Launcher FREE with upgrades https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appindustry.everywherelauncher Offers shortcuts, widgets and nearly everything in your phone. A bit more involved in setting up to look great, every item

SOLUTION Use "External Keyboard Helper" to adjust or disable key delays https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper&hl=en_AU I have downloaded this app and changed only the following settings, no root required. 1. >Choose keyboard layout >SELECTED [No remapping] (F(x)tec keyboard seems to function correctly with Fn keys) 2. >Advanced Settings >Key repeating >Key repeat delay > SELECTED No key repeating. No key has repeated on my Pro1 software or hardware keyboard since installation and extensive use.

NON ROOT - "External Keyboard Helper" Use "External Keyboard Helper" to adjust or disable key delays, I have not used any mapping functions but it definitely has got rid of my repeating key presses issue. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper&hl=en_AU I have downloaded this app and changed only the following settings, no root required. 1. >Choose keyboard layout >SELECTED [No remapping] (F(x)tec keyboard seems to function correctly with Fn keys) 2. >Advanced Settings >Key repeating >Key repeat delay > SELECTED

Rotation Control https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.crape.rotationcontrol I have been using the Rotation Control App for many years now on multiple tablets and QWERTY phones. Allows for upsidedown portrait and landscape modes. Will force portrait only apps to landscape, sometimes hiding screen elements and buttons, some apps are just not meant to be landscape. Has notification widgets that can quickly switch rotation back, works perfectly on the Pro1. I also have the "Landscape Orientation Lock" ON, even though I am sure Rotation Control would handle it solo.

Example for getting rid of select keyboard language. 1. Drag the notification bar down, scroll right to the bottom. 2. Select >Manage Notifications 3. Select >Three dot menu, (top right) 4. Select >Show System 5. Select >Android System 6. Select >Physical Keyboard by the text, not the check box 7. Toggle >Show notification 8. Select >Back and Back again This will disable notifications without root.

I intentionally left it covered. I hardly ever use the headpone jack and it is usually the first place to fill with crud. I usually fill the hole with a "Pressy" android button. edited 9. in original post

See above pics. 1. Cut finger reader slot. 2. Volume cut little section out, slightly under case but works. 3. Power and Camera buttons are covered and work. 4. USB cut out 5. Top side (left) speaker cut out from existing hole 6. Hole punched with 'belt hole maker' near camera for secondary mic (needed to cancel echo on speaker phone. 7. Cut plastic holder from case and spun 180 degrees, need to open case to use camera. 8. Cut card slips from inner case. 9. Kept headphone hole covered to keep dust out. Don't use headphones. Picked up from lo

Randomly the keyboard will continually repeat a letter once pressed. Stops once you hit another key. Same behaviour weather using hardware or on screen keyboard. Also noticed same behaviour on my Asus TX201LA when using hardware keyboard on android. Current GBoard input language is set to English (Australian) Current FxTec Pro1 input language is (Default) I am unsure if the input language is the issue or something else?
