Yes, I normally thumb type, but I use my index fingers on a surface. Actually "air typing" right now, my right index finger is positioned like your photo, the left found it's way to the hinge, and I reach more with the right thumb. So the left hand controls the phone more, and the right types more.

It's much better on a surface than holding it, but that's pretty much the grip I use if I'm attempting it. I use the keyboard for extended typing or editing, but if I'm just firing off a text or something, I'm unlikely to open it.

I stand corrected: the Mini USB appears in the Quick Start Guide Diagram as well. I disregarded it because I had already found the USB C, which is correctly labeled on the back view diagram in the guide. The USB C cable I received is about 1 meter.

I've never met a fingerprint reader I didn't hate, so I didn't configure it, and I don't encounter the failed attempts as a consequence. I guess that's the nuclear option until a patch comes through.

I suspected it was subject to wear, and it's a major blemish on a surprisingly elegant design. I believe all the information is available in various menus, is there a downside to removing the sticker entirely?

Using the Pro1 as a daily device - what hinders you?
ermghoti replied to Maplesteel's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I deployed my Pro1 immediately upon defeating Verizon's attempt to stop me from using it. It's not a perfect device, and I could go over my gripes if I find a review/impressions thread, but the only thing that gives me pause using it every day is durability, particularly the absence of any sort of waterproofing. I plan not to even leave it in the bathroom when I shower. -
I received a USB C cable of adequate length with my phone on Monday. I don't remember anything about a ghost USB mini port in my docs. Verizon has no interest in supporting CDMA, much less a tiny start-up device company. There's a thread here on activating Pro1s on Verizon, it ended up working for me.

I am continuing to use my iOttie Easy One Touch Dash, which remains completely secure and allows charging without modification. The central located power button took a little adjustment, and the eccentric USB port is hard to hit, particularly in the dark. It will not allow keyboard deployment, but I would never attempt such from the driver's seat anyway.

Ah-ha, I thought I had put the SIM in the primary slot per the quick start guide, but it was not. For whatever it's worth, it's in slot 1 now.

It appears I've got the SIM on Phone 2? Is that normal, and/or does it matter?

Arrived today, two days "early" and ahead of the storm bearing down on the Eastern US!

USA QWERTY No-Coupon Paid 01AUG19 Order number 12xxx Got stock assigned email on 1/20/2020 Got fedex tracking on 1/22/2020, scheduled for 1/29/2020 This will be my first time wrangling an Android device "from scratch," and I'm on Verizon. I see from posts here to expect trouble. Is there a "Pro1 for Verizon for Dummmies" I can refer to?
