  1. EDIT: Decided to finally clip this tangent off the Unihertz Slim thread, since I was kind of responsible for the tangent. :D Took me a couple of tries to figure out how "split" works, but I did it. :D I think THIS could turn out to be interesting (keyboard, Android 13, not good for graphic intensive games and video but can otherwise run Android apps and rootable/flashable). I might buy one if it actually becomes available off the shelf, but, no, I am not going to back it on IGG Not encouraging that they are still far from their goal and ordering has slowed down. Now the
  2. It's in the title, but a week ago my little cousin somehow managed to pop the [Z] key off the keyboard. From the look of it, the keys are just held on with a little bit of glue. Can I just super glue the key back on or is that approach unadvisable for some reason?
  3. First off, thank you to the F(x)tec team for pushing through against adversity and sending the Pro¹ X out to us loyal keyboard fans! I had ordered through the website in August 2021. I'm really glad to be one of the lucky few who already has this fun piece of hardware! I got Model QX1050 in the mail earlier this week. I've been playing around with the device and need help. Some things, like opening and closing the keyboard, I'm getting used to. Other things, not so much . . . The first issue that I came across has nothing to do with F(x)tec. Transferring from one Android device to another
  4. I've implemented a new feature in Lineage OS Pro¹'s keyboard driver to be able to use Fn+Tab as Alt+Tab as this is most convenient for multitasking with two thumbs. This thread is to track that issue specifically so please stay on topic. I'm trying to contribute this back to official Lineage repository. Here is my change request on Gerrit: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_kernel_fxtec_msm8998/+/315155 There was also a pull request on GitHub but that's just going to be closed as the GitHub repositories are just mirrors I guess: https://github.com/Linea
  5. Hey all, Just sharing this cause it was helpful to me. But if in the event you need to replace your keyboard (thank you FXtec for sending a replacement) such as I had the arrow key worn down (we will blame one game on that). The key thing is the keyboard is on as an adhesive. Things you need: Electrical Prying Device (Possibly Exacto Knife) Double sided adhesive (I used some left over ones from cases that came with it but 3M adhesives are options too) Process Keyboard Removal Turn the device off. Optional: remove the display and the hinge it is on, th
  6. I just converted a classic AZERTY keyboard to the new AZERTY keyboard layout using stickers from tastaturaufkleber.eu. I'm really impressed with the quality of those stickers. They also claimed they are compatible with backlite keyboards so I tried them on such keyboard and they indeed let some of the light through. It's very impressive. Also the white prints are so bright anyway they are very readable. It would be great if we could get the guys at tastaturaufkleber.eu to do stickers for our beloved Pro1s. It would be even better if we could get FxTec to provide empty keyboard prints
  7. I just found out by chance that Ctrl + Enter will submit a post on those forum. I'm using Fulguris Web Browser, I'm not sure that's relevant, it probably works the same on Chrome and others. I've known for a while that Shift + Enter goes to next line without creating a new paragraph. However that Ctrl + Enter trick is new to me. Though I guess it's always been there as a means to submit an HTML form. What are your favorites little-known keyboard shortcuts?
  8. Hello there Pro1 experts! 🙂 I have accidentally dropped my phone on the wooden floors a few times, no hard bumps mostly from our living room table on to the carpet actually. The problem is that I have noticed the the keyboard bulges out a bit, just at the edge. (The edge facing you when having the keyboard slid open) Now, what would be a good way of putting the keyboard back into place. I've tried gently nudging the plastic with my fingers and nails to push the keyboard down and latch on to the notch, with no success. I wouldn't want to be putting too much force into it. Sh
  9. Not even 6 months of use and it looks like my left Ctrl key does not give feedback anymore. Thankfully it is still working, it just won't click anymore, so it is hard to tell if you are pressing it properly.
  10. I found this google documentation about Pixel keyboard shortcuts some of them possibly apply to Pro1. Note that, Search 🔍 shortcuts aka Bookmarks are not accessible with the default keyboard layout.
  11. I just published what's basically a modified variant of FinQwerty called Fx Qwerty with focus on Pro1 usability.
  12. Randomly the keyboard will continually repeat a letter once pressed. Stops once you hit another key. Same behaviour weather using hardware or on screen keyboard. Also noticed same behaviour on my Asus TX201LA when using hardware keyboard on android. Current GBoard input language is set to English (Australian) Current FxTec Pro1 input language is (Default) I am unsure if the input language is the issue or something else?
  13. New AZERTY layout proposal - that's the one we want: Yellow prints on common letter keys are accessed using Alt Gr, other yellow prints are accessed using Shifts. http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/gists/9aa155b55485e01a823b8ccd04d00fe7 Original AZERTY layout proposal - we don't want this one anymore: http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/gists/84c7007c45445b002871e157fdab8cb4 Here is the corresponding QWERTY US layout proposal: http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com#/gists/c8cd79243e2f4470b949991786952262
