Slow down everyone!

It is back at €649, good for those that have not ordered yet – but now I for one am really confused about the mail sent out about an upcoming increased price???

For non-EU customers it has risen a small amount, no? And i recall vaguely the EU price being up by 20 cents earlier.

I feel like if you can “live” with a note 10, you are not the audience for thia phone. It is niche, but it fulfil need no other manufacturers seam to care about. They are all more after what will look cool and not what is usefull.

But i understand dropping out because of the price.

With high price this will be another "blackberry", with very poor ratio between what you get in HW for price you paid. With blackberry it's same for me, why I should pay 500 EUR for single SIM phone with snapdragon 660 and 4GB ram?

So with high price it will be more niche device even more, so less sales and finally pro1 will be their first and last device. Take a look at GPD, they sale and develop niche devices too, but with good price for HW they already have had 4+ successful indiegogo campaigns.

With price went back to 650 EUR I have ordered it, but it's very unusual that we are reading explanation about this issue on 3rd party forum.

Everyone have a limit for what the increased productive of a real keyboard is worth in cool cash. And who are any of us to judge others limits??

If a person had considered it at another price, they are clearly in the target audience of the device.

In my book target audience is defined be the personal usage patterns weighing of the pros of a real keyboard versus the cons of the increased size and lacking features.

To some a pen may be a huge benefit, to others not. e.g.

You are right, i shouldn't have judged.

To me this phone biggest selling point isn't the keyboard. it's how it is thought, which is right against Samsung actual policy. Open boot-loader, bulky but practical, up to date, stock android, easy to dissemble and fix, made to last and not to be a fashion symbol ...

So when i read note10, i just didn't understand.

Everyone have his view and need, i'm sure the note 10 will be just right for him and his need.

For the price, increase-drop i honestly believed they wanted to increase it, but they saw the bad PR, and rolled back how they could :) i'm ok with that, you have to find a price-point somehow :D

But is the US import tax that high right now ? i'm so surprise about that. being in EU i just don't hear about it.

Price was originally $649, £649 or €649. Then F(x)tec said that price will increase for non-EU customers.

Newsletter:

"The price of the Pro1 is increasing for our non-EU customers due to various global factors outside of our control, but good news is that the special pre-order pricing is still available until 31st August."

There was a bug in the system but now EU price is the same €649 but for US customers it is now $699.

Ah! Of course!! The mass-mail just sent to too many. Should not have been sent to EU customers.

(Like the mail they sent to pay for orders that accidentally also went to some of us that had paid (or even cancelled), see this)

Indeed, that are certainly some of the forces of the Pro1 I should have included on the 'pro' side, along the obvious keyboard. :)

I completely agree as well this is the selling point of the phone! :)

I don't understand all this, complaints about few dollar increase. if this pro1 is even $4000- $5000 even then ill buy 2 or 3 of them. its because its something no others are offering.

i have bought Galaxy Note 9 for around $2000 and its really cant do what pro1 can do by its design, so i am still forced to use Nokia E7.

In my opinion people wasting time on meaningless discussions like price, curved screen issue and most of all the keyboard design.

I wish we would've instead go after better hardware like including pen, maybe IR blaster etc. but we are just stuck with screen type and keyboard.

And the most concerning issue is that when is it going to be shipped. there are still no final words on when it will be shipped. i dont know if its still shipping next week, even if in September or even in this year.

Its frustrating because i have stopped investing my time and money on E7 and been waiting for it for long.

I don't know if i have to look for an alliterative solution like maybe Galaxy fold. or is there any other device available like this?

Actually, I find it strange that Chen communicates on TMO but not here on his own forum (wonder if he would have to wait to be moderated, lol). Don't get me wrong, I understand that with limited time, TMO probably reaches a broader audience, although fixing this forum might change that. Still, an occasional pop-in on this Forom. maybe in a pinned thread, would be a nice gesture to the paying customers. ;-)

So does the list price include taxes and stuff? Because the store price for me currently say $747.09.

Yes, that includes taxes (state taxes if you are US). If you log out and look at the buy page you will see the price of the phone ($699 if US).
