Had this one since last October.

Can't recommend at all. Despite it being smaller than the display, the edges still lift up from the starting curve.

I tried to blow on it with a hair dryer to maybe soften it up a bit but I also didn't want to risk killing the Pro1. So if gravity doesn't do a miracle over the next night, I'll try the included soft protector. And after that my Pro1 will go naked.

So far I use this screen protector on my Pro1, but now it has some scratches...

I liked BROTECT screen protectors but they started to lift up from the curved part, so finally I had to peel off both of them after a few days (it does not really liked when I pushed the phone into my pocket or when I pulled it from my pocket)...

I still would like to apply a screen protector bought at Bestskinsever, I think that is the best material.
However, they don't have a screen protector designed for Pro1, so I should cut one for myself and I'm afraid a bit of cutting the speaker hole.
Anyway, I have already cut a protector of this material and applied it to the back of my Pro1.

Just for information, I was in email contact with the guys at MediaDevil.com.  They said they were interested in developing cases and screen protectors for the Pro1. In our last email they said;

I've also got this one (the only glass one I could find that had curved edges) and have had it on for a month and it seems fine. Nice glass feel, and it's nice that it goes over the curves so you don't feel an edge when swiping from those sides.

It is important you get it lined up correctly though. If it is rotated at all, it will peel up from the corners as I understand it. I managed to avoid that, thankfully. Recommend.

@ToniCipriani

I can suggest these protector:

It fits 99,99%
The protector is only 0,01mm too long, but it fits better than the protector from your Pro1 package.

Hi all,

I hope you're well, I'm the founder of MediaDevil.

I noticed we were getting some traffic from this forum so I followed the trail and voila.

We're based in London (South Wimbledon) and we produce our screen protectors. If the Fxtec team entrusts us with a device for a day (we only need it for about an hour), we'll design a bespoke screen protector and it'll be ready for sale the same day. I've just emailed them.

Just to comment on some of the earlier stuff:

- As others have said, curved glass protectors are not the best. They tend to get lifted off the screen accidentally and they're structurally weaker than flat glass protectors.
- Someone mentioned the gummy feeling of another brand's protector. That's honestly the best type of screen protector material for this device and it's the one we would use, however, there is a lot of variance between different suppliers in terms of the surface feeling, and ours is low friction (albeit there's inevitable a slight difference compared to glass), it's very popular for us with the curved screen Android phones.

Best wishes

Callum

Callum,

This is great news! Please keep us posted.

I don't suppose you guys would like to try and make a case for the phone as well...? I'm pretty sure you'd get a few thousand orders, since there are none on the market currently.

I would order from you if postage fee is not extremely high for Hungary.
I had a screen protector applied which was made for Elephone U Pro which worked for a while, however, its size is not absolutely perfect.

I have cut another screen protector bought at BastScreensEver which I think would be one of the best materials, but I used the other one as template which is a bit taller than necessary and the edges finally lifted up a bit.
However, I have also cut a protector from the same material and applied it to Pro1's back and sides.

So I would be happy if a similar protector would be available in appropriate size and I would be even more happier if a full body protector would be also available.

I would also order a case for my Pro1.
Currently, I cut one of the cases made for P20 and I feel the same material would be the best but without the need of self modification.
It is a bit stronger material (not soft rubber) but it is also not rigid.
Also its top part clips to the top of bottom part of Pro1, so it is a bit curved - maybe it is not good for everyone as it is harder to open the phone by one hand, but for me it is convenient and I feel I have a better protection of my Pro1 this way.

Hi there, apologies for the slow reply!  Made the error of not enabling notification emails 🙂

In terms of cases I understand that our pull-tab (Artisanpouch) leather pouch is a good fit (see below). Our Artisanwallet leather case will also be a good fit but we're sold-out of most colours of that one for the next few weeks.

We could make other case styles too (I see that notebook-style cases seem to be what people are focusing on most), but as a small business (and an unlicensed 3rd-party at that) it's just too risky unfortunately because bespoke mould tooling for a plastic case costs many thousands, so it's better for the Fxtec team to arrange that one as they can best gauge the level of demand and they have the direct relationship with their device users. A few years back when we didn't do in-house screen protector manufacturing, we were getting bugged daily to make screen protectors for one of the early OnePlus devices (OnePlus being an early-adopter brand like Fxtec is now). We did a production run, and we didn't sell any! Can't make that mistake again 🙂

We could do front and back, it's all the same to us really 🙂 I'll send an update if we do get provided a device.

It sounds like your case is made from TPU - it's what most cases are made from nowadays as it's got the best all-round performance in terms of strength, absorbing shock and coverage.  We'd love to make one but it's just too risky for us as a business, see my comments in the post above.

Enjoy your weekend 🙂

I got this because I thought it was a glass screen protector according to description, but it appears to be regular plastic.

Is it actually glass? Does it shatter if you drop it and protect the screen underneath?
