  1. Have you tried Edge Null or a similar solution? For me, it has solved my problems with curved edge. However, I have also applied a case to its bottom...

  2. I'm thinking about going back to the Gemini PDA. I've been using Pro1 as my primary phone for over 2 months. but during this time I couldn't get used to the curved display. I really like the prone, I haven't had any issues or restarting problems, but it seems I'm too old for these fancy things. 🙂 I mainly used Termux with Finqwerty besides the usual stuff. The serial number is in 2xx range. Shifted qwerty keyboard (I got used to it in about 2 weeks), original box, never used charger and pouch, 2 pcs curved (Elephone) screen protector. The only glitch is that the contact with the car mount

  3. While my phone is still somewhere in limbo, I was running Kiwi Browser on it. I use Vivaldi on desktop, but let's be honest, the Android version is pretty much nothing yet, even after all the years of having that in the works.

  4. @Slion Found a fix! I can MERGE two threads, and that goes for polls too (loosing the old votes obviously) So hid the communication on it to not confuse. But for the benefit of any other wanting to make a poll here a 'summary':

  7. Something odd going on. I'm on the suspended update (20200304) and I still have the issue, It was solved by the nice little volume control app mentioned by @FlyingAntero above.

  8. Right, but I think what people are requesting of @tdm is that he fix the LTE side of things. This does work (albeit post activation on a mule phone) because of the interoperability requirements of the LTE standard, Verizon has no choice but to allow a LTE device on their network. Thus, even though there isn't (and won't be) CDMA support for the Pro1, there should be LTE support. Also, Verizon, in the near future, will be shutting down their CDMA network anyway. When that happens everything (voice, SMS, MMS, and all other data) will be carried solely over their LTE system. Thus, if the Pro

  9. I am also a developer of both hardware and software and I would not say that creating a phone from scratch is easy. You are right about the SoC itself does a lot of things but you should follow several considerations, select appropriate components and routing, so you have to have appropriate skills and experiences. Also, creating a phone from scratch can be relatively easy for an expert who is also familiar with multi-layer PCB design, but creating a good phone needs much more experience not speaking about good mechanical design and EMI / EMC considerations and the price of testing a

  10. So I did some googling on microg and signature spoofing and found some useful bits on the lineage page of the microg project: https://lineage.microg.org/ "Can you add support for my device? It is officially supported by LineageOS We already build LineageOS for microG for every device supported by LineageOS. Find your device in our Downloads page!" So @tdm just forget about my request and focus on getting the build to the official stage...and an official unofficial microg build should magically appear 😃 For anyone interested in why lineageos doesn't officially support the signa

  11. @tdm: Thanks for all the hard work :). As I've said before somewhere I want to try and go googlefree, with microg. From what I gather signature-spoofing is required for some things and I know @Loader009 did a one-off build with support for this. I have no idea how much work this would be and if it's something you're up for, but would it be possible to get a micro-g ready build together with the regular build? I've been thinking about setting up a build and release pipeline myself, but all of my experience with this is limited to azure resources and database stuff as I'm a bi-develope

  12. I greatly reduced the volume slider for voice call. It does not seem to affect how well others can hear me on their end.

  13. I bought a new phone after i sent my pro1 in for repairs. I don't have a problem with waiting, but I only sent my phone to them after they have already confirmed to have replacement phones because I specifically did not want to buy another phone. Then I waited like two weeks after sending in the phone and had to buy another, because I sold my old phone and wasn't planning on having multiple phones around. I need my phone for my job. I also know that the circumstances now are quite unfortunate, but I still feel the support replies have been a little dishonest. I've received multiple messag
