Please stop. You made your points, there are people here who invested in this project knowing that, you are doing a disservice to the intent of the project and to those that have supported this from the start, many of us have the Pro1 or supported it since then and see this is a project worth backing. You approach amounts to not achieving anything if whomever you are advocating for put money in through IGG then they need to read what that actually means. I have had my pro1 serviced and supported and I myself support the group even though the Pro1 is not my daily driver. But many of u7 points

Well if you pulled out the violin from your ear, you might be able to hear what @mv and others told you already: Yes, the company is far from perfect. Yes, the device is far from perfect. Investments in a project involves risks, potentially loosing the invested money. Yes, we understand that you, among others, are unhappy with your investments. Yet we are some that ARE positive to the project and hope to get the Pro1X (and a few already got it) Whether you are able to comprehend that others feels different than you is another question. If you are not, it is a6 points

Okay I agree with @Hook, I had my fun, but now it just starts to get personal. I would advise all of us, to not continue that. Else outsiders may indeed see a fanboy vs critic fight here (even though it is soooo stupid, it is hard to get that one wrong). Time to move on and think about dealing with him in other ways. I would advise the following steps: 1. Not getting personal at all anymore, just correct his wrong facts. 2. Remove personal insults from him if needed, but leave his "facts". 3. Ignore everything else. So he can still submit any criticism to the phone, he can't say h4 points

Really folks, the ignore function works really nicely with trolls. Also, feel free to not quote him when replying. Your comments need no reply context in this case. 😄3 points

Get off the drink. It's ruining your brain. An english dictionary would be helpful to you too. Read both "subjectivity" and "objectivity". Maybe that can guide you to enlightenment. If not enough, then... You are beyond help and none of us can help you.3 points

Fedex just dropped off my new toy a half an hour ago. Did a quick and dirty GPS comparison outside (Northern NJ). After clearing the agps data on both and waiting about 2 minutes, got the results below. Flip 3 on the left, Pro1-X on the right.2 points

No I'll send to you in a PM because I don't want this to grow out of proportion badly. Many things don't work or are missing (more missing than not working) in that build and I don't want to be pointed at. There's a non-GMS v2.1.5 (beta) build I'm using which is running rather well and no noticeable new issues from my end. You want?2 points

I agree in principle, though it is seldom that you do not have a rough idea of the direction. (cloudy night with no moon e.g., or no idea of the time of day). And just checked here, the Pro1 got similar problems, though it seems to more often have portrait not landscape correct.... 🤬1 point

Found this thread following your suggestion: https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3670-pro1x-stock-android-non-gms-build/?do=findComment&comment=63768 Pretty cool. Sounds like a good interim solution before we get official LineageOS support. Thanks for the heads-up.1 point

I have a similar bug with the 835-Pro1 (in OsmAnd~ and SatStat). Often, the compass is 90° off with the keyboard either flipped in or out. Rotating the phone in all directions often helps to re-calibrate it to the right direction. But, obviously, if you have to know from other sources which direction of "north" is correct, the "compass" is essentially useless.1 point

A quick comparison on my window sill that confirms some of the observations here (Left to right—Moto Z3 Play, Pro1, Pro1 X) : Images show the three phones three minutes after AGPS clear and update. The Motorola is the quickest to get the first fix (7 s), the Pro1 by far the slowest (~3 min), the Pro1 X in between (~1 min 20 s). The Pro1 X "sees" the highest number of satellites satellites but "uses" the lowest number. The Pro1 X is much less constant in its readings than the other two, they chance permanently. That includes losing a fix every when there1 point

Great app. I forgot that I'd purchased the Pro version at some point. https://mobiwia.com/gpsstatus/ green: satellite is used while determining the location yellow: all orbital data is available, but the satellite is not used blue: only rough orbital data (almanach) is available grey: orbital data is not available My Pro1-X is Out For Delivery, so I'll check out the GPS later today.1 point

No even refreshing AGPS Data does not help. I already tried leaveing it at a table outside for half an hour and only once got 4 sattelites locked for a few minutes. I attached a picture of pro1x and Redmi note 10 pro right side by side. While pro1x finds more sattelites it wont lock them.1 point

...And the opening seems pretty complex compared to e.g. this: https://community.fxtec.com/topic/2681-how-to-openshut-the-pro1pro1x/?do=findComment&comment=420611 point

Do you ever bother about facts? The Astroslide project started over two years ago, as they also were hit by some of the issues that hit The Pro1X project. And yes, according to their update the devices has not reached their warehouse yet, but is expected to in a few days. (Like the Pro1X a small portion HAS been delivered, and that portion is likely larger for the Astro)1 point

By the way, I did buy one (which just got released by US customs after a paperwork snafu that doesn't usually happen in the US), but not for me. I talked two friends into buying a Pro1x. One received his in August and I just wanted to be sure my other friend would get his. I will wait for mine from FxTec and if they come through, I will end up with two Pro1xs because my friend will send me his if it arrives from FxTec. I did not buy one of these for myself. I still have faith in FxTec. I know they will come through if they can. And if they can't, it won't be because they were eit1 point

Interesting theory. But it is both (most of) batch 1 and 2 that have been sent to "our warehouse", and never any further, so it would have to be both batches they sold for your theory to explain what is going on. But sure your theory could be correct if the first batches were fundamentally flawed, and they sold them of cheap and are producing new ones. I doubt it very much though, since if so it would be hard to honestly label the cause as "contractual issues with our partner in Hong Kong". - note by the way that they state issues in plural... It is a bit mysterious how they as early1 point

A couple of things. I don't think Expansys USA exists anymore. It may have been an off-shoot of the original operation, but not the exactly the same. Expansys in Asia has been pretty dependable over the years (I used them long ago and they have always been FxTec's shipping partner). Secondly, Fxtec has stated in Discord discussions that they will back the warranty on the Expansys sold models.1 point

Just wanted to point out that I never use a case and I had a severe ghost touch problem at the end of 2020. I only have a thin textured skin on the back for added grip.1 point
