  1. I am pleased to say the issue has been resolved by Casey with fantastic support and the faulty hardware swapped out. Phone back in my hands. Thank you very much @Casey and everyone who commented on the thread.

  2. For the record: @Casey's instructions did work for me. It automagically flashed the right slot, which I think was "b" in my case.

  3. Attached the printed case to a snakehive case with T7000. seems to work well.

  4. So I eventually decided that I might as well root my PrawnX, and tried to follow Casey's instructions here: https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3690-pro1-x-rooting-with-magisk/?tab=comments&_fromLogin=1 I got to the point of flashing the patched boot image back from my PC to the phone, and hit an error: So then I did this: Made me a bit nervous, because Casey's instructions of the PDF suggest that the file flashes to boot_b automatically. But whatever, I went with what getvar returned, and entered this: Then I did the "fastboot reboot", and voila, the

  5. Same for me... I did it twice (before and after upgrading one of the beta versions). No errors for me so far.

  6. Hi @tdm. Is the CLI version still around? On macOS M1 (ARM based), the GUI one doesn't like libpng built for ARM, so I tried to use the CLI, but the link appears dead. Thanks!

  7. I have one small GaN charger that came with my Laptop (Star Labs, another UK company), it powers the laptop and quick-charges the phone simultaneously with ~12W for the phone (except for the those reboots which have become necessary with some LineageOS versions on the Pro1, while at least my copy of the Pro1 X is not yet misbehaving in that regard). I don't frequently use it, though, as I prefer slow charging for prolonging battery health... I also have a less recent non-GaN charger (UGREEN) which, even though I think it should be powerful enough, always only powers one of the two devices

  8. Reboot your phone while connected to the charger. It will QC. I have t o BaseUs Gan chargers. Always the same issue with the Pro1. Some handshake issue I assume.

  9. Well, the OP wonders why, obviously, the PSU and the Pro1 cannot agree on any charging protocol, which is strange indeed. Depending on the power source, my Pro1 seems to distinguish between three different charging modes: "charging slowly", "charging", and "charging rapidly". The last is probably chosen only if the PSU explicitly supports Qualcomm QC. Electrically, one of the lower two modes should always be possible. I've been charging my Pro1 with solar panels ... 😎

  10. Hmmm, did they instruct you to send by cheapest method possible? They always instructed me to do that. That is USPS International Parcel Post and is usually about $50 (at least from VA). It seems very effective at getting it delivered properly, although you can't insure it for what the phone is worth because Parcel Post has a maximum much lower, but that was never a problem the two times I sent mine in. I think in England, USPS hands off to Royal Mail. I don't know what happened with the adresses. I always used the addresses Francisco provided and had no problem. Sorry you have had such a d

  11. Pro1 supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 which is not compatible with USB PD. Support for USB PD came with QC 4.0. Snapdragon 835 can support QC 4.0 but for Pro1 only QC 3.0 was activated. Qualcomm announces the Snapdragon 835 with Quick Charge 4.0 For that reason Pro1 cannot utilize the full potential of your USB PD 65W charger. Here are the specs of your charger ports: - Type C1/Type C2 Output: 5 V/9 V/12 V/15 V/ 3A; 20 V/ 3.25 A - USB1 output: 5 V / 1.0 A - USB2 output: 5 V/9 V/12 V/20 V, 3 A Theoretically QC 3.0 can support 12V/3A=36W mode but I am not sure if P

  12. @Hook @claude0001 Indeed there's a mix-up (on my part). I was misled by what was considered "upper-housing". You guys are right. We only offer the "frame" for replacement/for sale (the detachable screen itself after unscrewing the 5 bolts). This can be easily replaced by any user and requires no glueing etc.

  13. It was not an preorder. Just a normal order via homepage in February 20 and yes, for the original FX tec Pro 1. Exactly one year later in February 21 I upgraded to the Pro1X in saphire blue, with 8 GB Ram. 🙄 I really would have liked to have the phone, but unfortunately it's now technically outdated, and I've gotten used to the Samsung Fold, which is also good for writing thanks to the large screen. 🤗

  14. Hook, I used UPS for $148usd. UPS called me after the first failed delivery, so I inquired to Francisco about it. He then forwarded me a copy of the Pro1x invoice with another address to deliver, so gave the info to UPS only to have it returned to my home about 1-2 weeks later. Then I felt helpless because I had already wasted the $148 and very much of my time, so I am...just...? I feel if I call it won't be returned. I did everything I was supposed to do to achieve a refund. The phone has barely been used and I only want a refund or 600-700 for it. I have never posted anything on ebay

  15. WHERE IS MY REFUND? I would like a refund too, and I have previously written about this a month ago. Francisco screwed me over for not only the $900 I paid, but the $148 for me to send the damn phone back to FX...the package came back to me as undeliverable to not one BUT TWO DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AROUND LONDON. Now I have this phone that I do not want sitting here and making me more frustrated by the day because I don't want to deal with it any more. I am willing to take a hit on this barely even used device. I am so frustrated that two different addresses weren't good enough. I

  16. You were right. I should not have send it in. Now its two month because of a depleated battery and it does not look like I might have it back soon. They are "performing multiple charging and draining tests". But maybe the battery is really dead after a month of charging and draining 😭.
