  1. @steff and @EskeRahn: While I agree to all you write, maybe there is one thing that can be said in F(x)tec's defence: From their perspective, everything must have changed at the moment they were forced to "upgrade" all pending orders for the original Pro1 to Pro1X's: As at least some of those were ordered (and paid!) way before the start of the IGG campaign, they essentially had the choice to betray either these original Pro1 customers (by postponing them until after end of the IGG campaign) or the Pro1X campaign-backers (by continuing to serve regular website customers alike, breaking IGG rul

  2. See I did not order from IGG - I ordered directly though the Main website. That said, yeah - a Pro2 that is a for real upgrade, that they guarantee support for, removable battery, Never say never. Trust is gone but if there is an in stock item I am IN.

  3. Sad to hear. Remember that this is a user--to-user forum, that FxTec only irregularly follow. But you can get a spare display on AliExpress (search for ElePhone U Pro, that uses the same display), BUT it requires a bit more to change than the top unit FxTec are offering as a spare part, AND various issues are reported in here (green line, black corners, and margin touch issues), the last one fixable by flashing the stock firmware again. I took the chance and bought one of these cheap spares, but I have not been in need of swapping one (yet)... But we know from the IGG site that FxTec

  4. Assuming this is January 2023 (they didn't have screens available in Jan 2022), to be honest, that's really not that long, especially if they are setting up something new. This is a very small operation. But, lets see if we can get @Casey's attention.

  6. Yeah, it more and more looks like they might be bending rules and exploiting loopholes in trying to keep afloat. They also might already be doing that for longer than we might like to believe. Still they seem to be intent on serving every order, and while I understand everyone's frustration, I'd rather see a few hundred devices being offered cheap from Expansys and some others before I get the one order that I'm still waiting for, if whatever is happening there increases the chances of me getting anything at all. (For what it's worth, these, by the way, don´t seem to be offere

  7. Thanks, I've now had a reply from support and an invoice :). I'm aware how small they are and now how stretched they are atm too - if support had sent back "hey, we're really stretched atm but on the case, might take a couple of weeks" that would have been great but the "it'll be sorted tommorrow" approach followed by 2 weeks no contact wasn't ideal from a customer PoV. Anyway, all's well that ends well 🙂

  10. I was a late backer of both the Gemini and the Cosmo. Both turned out to be pdas that might make phonecalls, much like the current state of the Pro1x. It was hard to depend on either the G or the C for reliable communication and their GPS was problematic as well. Now replacement batteries, which I need, can only be found if you send the device to London. Their hkbs were their strong point, along with acceptable screens, but from there, the experience fell into buggy software and beta hardware. Nor was it possible to buy the G and C in third-party stores such as expansys.hk, so fewer

  11. Unified view on multiple e-mail accounts works well with K9 mail and you don't have to pay for the BBHub application nor be bothered by the advertisements. Yes, the original BB Hub on BB10 provided more, but since that doesn't work with the Android version any longer, there's little point using the BBHub there (I tried it and left it after some time). K9 works nicely in landscape mode too. 🙂

  12. It was fine when it was we ordered in April of 2021 and were told Christmas 2021. Then it got pushed and pushed. With all the hardware and outdated OS issues and swapping out the processor, it started getting iffy. But I love my Pro1 so much so Hubby was willing to wait. But his old phone was slowly dying. Still he waited. When I sent an email to my regular contacts in November and they ghosted me. ME! The one they sent Kitty pics to and wished Happy New Year and remembered my birthday.   13. ** Now sorted** Hello, I managed to break the screen of my pro1 so I contacted support back in January (ticket 18149). I was told I could buy a new screen and support said they'd sent an invoice, which I didn't receive. Then support said there were issues with stripe payment and a new PayPal was being set up and I would be contacted.. Despite chasing several times I'm still waiting..   14. Well it's official. Hubby canceled his Pro1X and the lovely Francisco responded that day that he was passing on the request to finance. Not sure how long this process will take, but I will keep y'all updated. Still in love with my Pro1 though.
