  1. Mindthegapps on 19.1 has a /system/addon.d/30-gapps.sh of 2.2Kb size that looks quite different from the similar 70-gapps.sh I see on AICP with OpenGapps (10.8K) Here collage of the interesting parts (in above order)
  2. I can see that I chose my perk with the Scandinavian layout. Will be interesting to see if this affects the delivery time? I would not be surprised if plain US-QWERTY was served first.
  3. Just tried to redo the lineage-19.1-20220606-nightly-pro1-signed.zip using adb sideload and NikGapps-core-arm64-12-20220421-signed.zip To get rid of some of all the junk from the MindTheGapps package - (OpenGapps still does not support 12(.1) at all) It got 'stuck', never going past the initial animated logo. New reboots and patience did not help. Note that I did NOT do a factory reset at first attempt. It did load enough to support adb though so did a adb reboot bootloader Selected "Recovery mode" and there "Factory reset" and reboot. It worked in principle. (But still with s
  4. PS Just noticed that the https://opengapps.org/ has pulled the 20220503 for Arm and Arm64, reverting to previous 20220215, so I guess they have some serious issues (that I have not encountered). Their page does not have a text on this, and the 0503 is still available at https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm64/
  5. Smoothly installed aicp_pro1_r-16.1-WEEKLY-20220608.zip on May 5 security patch and open_gapps-arm64-11.0-pico-20220503.zip using adb sideload Known keyboard bug still there (see lineage thread) Note that the signature when downloaded as a zip is not accepted, so the loader on the phone asks you "...install anyway?".
  6. Note that they have now purged the oldest of the four releases with 18.1, so expect them all to be gone within weeks. So IF you are interested in 18.1, then make sure to pull a copy ASAP.... (They did the same with 17 after 18 was released)
  7. (Merged your thread into this one,)
  8. Guessing here, I would expect the order to roughly be: Pending Pro1, and then Pro1X roughly in chronological order. I doubt they will prioritise IGG perks over pre-orders or vice versa. But that said they might bundle them somehow e.g by nation as I guess one bundle of n units could get faster and cheaper customs and shipping than n individual parcels. But again, I'm only guessing. And we have no idea neither how fast the production rate is nor the size of the queue, so how long it will take before all orders are sent is anyone's guess.

  11. Indeed they are small. But also remember the global issues like the Covid and the ship shortage that has affected huge players also. Even huge companies like Apple and VolksWagen struggle to get the parts they need.... And add to that, that FxTec was swindled shortly after the Pro1X campaign start, so they had to totally redesign for another chipset. So the whole thing is a crazy story indeed.
  12. Seven days ago they wrote: So why do you find it crazy that they have not updated after one week ? ADD: Guessing here, I assume that they await some signing key with the official approval, as this would prevent them from flashing signed images before they get the key. Could also be a pure legal thing that they got the key, but are not allowed to flash using it before they get the paperworks on it.
  13. PS. Remember that there are two principal different ways a full cover for a slap can be made. Top grips over bottom half Bottom grips over top part Only the second type can be used to protect a Pro1 top (No use of the bottom part)
  14. Indeed, would be interesting to hear of experiences with Pixel 5a cases. Remember that protecting the top 'half' also, is more complex than just the bottom, with a few main issues: Can the two 'halves' still close reasonably, for a top protector with a good grip? Will it impair access to the top row of keys? How much will it reduce touch of the outer parts of the display? - where this for some would be a plus! I have experimented with this as reported earlier in the thread, but the results were far from stellar - though usable.
  15. Even though the company is small it would be more surprising if anyone knew the answer for any mail directly.
  16. There are a small number of devices with similar dimensions. https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nHeightMin=153&nHeightMax=155&nWidthMin=73&nWidthMax=74&nThicknessMin=6&nThicknessMax=8 At the least three of them are from 2020 or 2021, so cases are likely to still be around for a while. Whether they provide a better fit (base for modifications) I do not know. https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMin=2020&nHeightMax=155&nWidthMin=73&nWidthMax=74&nThicknessMin=6&nThicknessMax=8

  18. I'm amazed by their perseverance too. The small group take a lot of beating from angry users, and way too little praise, IMHO I really hope they will continue to both produce PKB phones and support them. If there will not be a successor I hope they will consider crowdfunding extended phone-support as long as possible for the chipset and security update. . I have no idea what a year of support / minor development would cost, but they could come up with a number and see if we are enough that are willing to chip in. As a stretch goal they could offer those that chipped in some special rate
  19. I think they more or less will process the orders, in the same order they were made. If the produced layout batches allow it. I have no idea if they can save some shipping or custom handling fees in 'bundling' orders with close by destinations, if so that could potentially affect the order slightly. But this is all guessing as is the time it will take to produce all needed to fulfil pending orders, as we know neither the size of the backlog nor the production rate.
  20. There is likely to be quite a backlog before any device ordered today can be delivered, so not unexpected really. But good that it has been updated from the old estimate that was there before.
  21. I agree with you, I was surprised that it did not require a factory reset. And for my case I think the mess I had was due to changing from OpenGapps to MindTheGapps simultaneously. Had I reflashed latest 18.1 with MindTheGapps before the upgrade to 19, it might have worked smoothly. (OpenGapps is not yet available for Android 12 / hence I was forced to do the swap. I Prefer OpenGapps, as they have lesser packages than MindTheGapps, as I mapped out extending the OpenGapps compare schema last year)
  22. I did too, practically immediately, as described earlier in the thread, so that might be a general good advice? (...at the least people should be prepared that they might need a factory reset)
  23. I have not tried Android 12, but my guess would be that the UI changes stem from Google not LineageOs as such.
