  1. I don't feel the situation as bad as @Gon009 feels. Personally, I have learned these button placements. I agree fingerprint sensor could have been placed a bit higher as I have also touched it occasionally but otherwise I can find convenient positions of my fingers to use it, so it may not be a huge problem. However, it still has bugs in software like forgetting fingerprint settings after reboot. For me, it is a really good device. Performance-wise it is very good, keyboard is awesome, and the image quality of the screen is brilliant, GPS reception is perfect (better than on my prev
  2. I haven't noticed this type of gap between screen and top part, my Pro1 seems to be aligned well... Am I right that on the left, you feel screen goes a little bit farther than the top part is?
  3. I really hope they will update their driver in next OTA which includes also this improved keyboard handling.
  4. I have also experienced some missing characters when I wrote messages on my Pro1. I thought I may not pressed those buttons well but I also knew they had "clacked" so the problem exists. So that case they may have modified the original keyboards driver to handle loosing keyboard problem and not the improved one? ...or is it in another part of the kernel? ...at least it seems improved keyboard driver still not ported back to Pro1's stock kernel.
  5. Now I have tried it. At minimum level, "Call volume" displays 20%. I can adjust it to go below it but I don't know if it affects call volume, however, it goes back to 20% automatically.
  6. I have the same bug but I also had it before last (keyboard-related) update (I wrote it above). The most annoying thing for me is the audio volume of earpiece (I mean the in-call volume). I use it using lowest possible audio level but it is still too loud and if the other party speaks too loud, I can not do anything - also people around me may hear the other party. So it would be very welcome to reduce software gain or have an option to set gain as soon as possible. However, I have not experienced keyboard lockouts since last update, so it seems it may be resolved. Also, I w
  7. I am sure decision is not only made by one of the directors but they have consultation about the current known state of production, financial state and possibilities. I think they had a decision to send packages weekly to be able to send as many phones as possible before Christmas or the end of the last year to have as much people as possible convenience... but last year has already passed so they made another decision which is financially better. So I mean things (decisions) can be changed as also the speed of manufacturing process may be improved which may be the source of changing
  8. I think it should be a few days before 25th in January in order to let logistics to have some time for packages to leave the country before the beginning of Chinese New Year. Maybe it means a maximum of two weeks from now and we not know if the mentioned batch would be available to send let's say in a week, so delay this case may be lower than two weeks and it seems they are in hurry to be able to fulfill all orders before this celebration.
  9. I also assume IGG backers are not prioritized. However, if they ship all phones together from China, it also don't really make sense or at least it means only a few days difference so the time they need to prepare and ship all remaining pre-orders after they arrived to their intermediate distribution places. However, I hope they will ship them by this deadline and there will be additional general orders from users looking at the device at someone's hands. 🙂 ...and by that time Pro1's community may start to gain more and more members and developers.

That feature only works when you use stock launcher, so it is not available under Nova launcher.
  11. @Ilrilan I am happy finally it works again. As of holes, it is absolutely not easy to prevent water coming in. There are phones which does it by a lot of development effort, but only a very few are protected. My previous phone was also similar regarding water resistance.
  12. No. Refund request of CC is there for you as your last step to request refund. It is an insurance and not something you should use in everyday life but in case of spoofing. If a company gives you a refund option, you should use it. Also, the very first step should be to contact company / seller and ask a solution in any cases. Otherwise, if you claim you CC insurance while you have other options, you harm the company and not being fair. Also, F(x)tec has always refunded on request, so you should request your refund from them instead of contacting your card issuer for no valid rea
  13. Maybe Silica gel instead... I don't advise to do it.
  14. I think salted water is one of the worst thing one can have inside a phone - basically because it conducts and it causes corrosion and that is the cause why you need to disconnect battery. If you are lucky, the phone may work after cleaned, but there is no guarantee if it will ever work again. So that is why I would disassemble it to disconnect at least the battery - so to have a chance for it to work again. Otherwise it may also "eat" the PCB.
  15. Hmm... that is not a good news. End result depends on the amount of liquid inside and on ingredients in water. I am also assume it is not covered by warranty, so if I were you, I would disassemble it - the phone itself seems to be relatively easy to disassemble (however, appropriate screwdrivers are mandatory). First of all, battery should be disconnected as soon as possible to avoid further damage of the circuits inside. Remember, that "water" is a really bad type of water as in winter, usually it also contains some type of material to be less slippery or become easier to melt.
  16. I have tried another two HDMI adapters together with my Pro1. My first post about it was this one: Now I have tried these adapters: - This one seems to be a very simple and cheap adapter but also video and audio work well. - This one also works well (both audio and video), also USB ports are working. It seems to work similarly as the similar unit in my previous post - description says it supports PD (which should be true), but QC does not go through it. However, while playing Youtube video and charging battery, it had 2A output current at 5V and phone was being charged. So it ma
  17. It would be a really awesome option. However, I don´t think it is allowed by Google on a fully supported system. 😞
  18. I have also tried Android's built-in SIP service and MizuDroid which both had intermittent sound. MizuDroid had noticeably higher pitch and longer gaps between audio samples. Also, sometimes I hear glitches in sounds like when an alert comes up at this site. (Maybe the length of the audio matters as it seemed to work well in Youtube for example.) I have also tried Linphone as SIP client which works well with excellent audio quality and continuous sound. SIP was set up against an Asterisk server at localhost (there are also other SIP clients which are use this system without
  19. I don't really think as my Moto G6 has a very loud earpiece which is also used as handsfree speaker... and worse, it is also the ringer - so, that is maybe a cheap but a really bad solution... (It happened once that I had that phone at one of my ears when it has started to ring - it was extremely loud) ...but on Pro1, that speaker is a bit farther. Also, if both speakers are used for ringing then it is no reason to disable upper one on handsfree as usually it is much quieter than a ringtone. I was thinking about maybe it is related to noise microphone but the speaker in use is much
  20. You may check with somebody who also uses Verizon with working SMS centre to see if you have the same number there (just a guess). ...or maybe try if their support will tell it.
  21. I am curious what is the simplest method - still not rooted, so I just watching what you find as the best solution. Anyway, what may be the problem of OTA updater? Does it check if boot partition is intact prior update? I think the best possible behaviour would be if it would do the update also if boot partition has been modified, then user may re-root it after upgrade... ...so it looks to be a bit strange or I don't really understand what the problem is here...
  22. Maybe try to set up the correct SMSC number for your SIM card. You can do it if you dial *#*#4636#*#* - query what is the current setting and check if it is correct.
  23. - In hands-free mode, only one of the speakers is enabled (the bottom one). Is it a bug or does it have its own reason? - It would be good if touch sensitivity would be adjustable - to lower it a bit as sometimes it thinks I have touched the display but I didn't touched it yet. - Others also wrote it but in-phone speaker is too loud - I use it at minimum volume level and I feel like if volume would be more than 50% compared to my previous phone. So it would be good to have an option to set its gain. - Others also wrote it but display colour is strange under 50% of brightness
  24. I have never seen that bug (also I have not wrote about it).
