I have tried to do something like this. Yesterday, I have "slimmed down" an old (expired) card - it was okay, still worked in Nokia 3310. Then I have tried to file down a smaller (32GB) SD card and glued a SIM on top of it. ...but as SIM tray is too tight, I had to remove relatively much of the SD card. However, it seemed to work. Then I have tried to file a 512 GB Samsung, then a Lexar card... but it seems they are much more space-consuming (inside) and they both became a waste of time and money. They were not cheap cards...

I have just worn out two 512 GB flash cards because of this f* phone! I mean a f* stupid idea of having a stupid combo SIM holder! I really, really hate this combo solution instead of the ability of two SIMs AND(!!!!!!!) an SD card TOGETHER! That was my main concern about this phone because I _need_ to use two SIMs and WANT to also use a flash card. The SIM holder is too tight. I have not really understood why they said there is no need of a tool to remove SIM holder. Initially, I have put in an alternative SIM and a MicroSD card and never was able to pull it out using my

That is the only thing I am worry about... I would like to hear what to do to keep OTA working while I have root access on the phone. (Currently my phone is not rooted yet.)

Maybe when they used NiMh batteries, it was true... but Li-Ion batteries are really sensitive of deep-discharge and overcharge. They are even dangerous in those circumstances and may be later on... It has a defined maximal charging voltage depending of chemicals but let's say 4.2V The charging method should look like this: - Constant current mode (while the specified voltage level has not reached) - Constant voltage mode (maybe it starts around 80% of charge) Constant voltage charging stops when current goes below a specified level. There are charger ICs which manage th

If they modify the motherboard, certifications should be done again to remain certified (only a minor modification is enough to loose certification, that is why official certification is the last step of the process). So replacing the motherboard or manufacture the whole device with new motherboard without certification is the same regarding the existence of certification. If they can keep the most parts of Pro1 then they can reuse most of the production chain. The most uncertain part of the device (not speaking about motherboard) is the display. Unfortunately, these are relative

I first read about Clove here of selling QWERTY then about DragonBox also here of selling QWERTZ (which I could not resist so I bought one from them), then someone wrote about another place which was not widely available and I have not even found it in their web site. I don't think of many more retailers are currently exists.

Which retailers? I think only a few phones were sold by retailers which are all currently sold out. However, Clove technology had QWERTY models available to buy.

I have only experienced this bug once yet and I don't know how to trigger it. ...so it seems it is not easy to tell if it has gone or not for me. 🙂 -
I think if they do something similar, it is not necessary worth them this way. So instead, after a few years, they can go back to the existing device (Pro1), design a new motherboard, do some modifications / testings but keep the rest and then release it as a new phone called like Pro2. I mean it is much cheaper to make a Pro2 based on Pro1 than making Pro1 from scratch now. ...but designing a new motherboard may be the most complicated part of it. So if they survive and willing to make some upgrade, I think it is better for them to manufacture the whole phone while keeping un

I didn't really take attention of current but as far as I remember well, it was about 1.8 A. However, QC and PD technology is not the same protocol, so it may happen it really supports only PD.

I have tried HDMI output, it also works well. I have tried two adapters: - This one works for screen sharing but no audio going through - This one is more than a HDMI output but audio also going through HDMI here, USB ports are working, I have also connected a power supply while a video was playing on Youtube and it could also charge the phone (but only with 5V, so no Quick Charge this way). However, LAN interface is currently not working (maybe appropriate kernel module is missing). (Currently it is a bit more expensive than it was earlier but it is also not a cheap device - I th

I agree. The situation is not seemed to be unfixable or really hard to be fixable. Sending back for guarantee is not a good decision. Maybe selling the device is or to find a service person who has more patience or skills to do the well-described steps. ...but doing this while somebody is trying to help and definitively not stuck somewhere is also not a good decision...

As of my Pro1 again. Yesterday I put on a "BROTECT" screen protector bought at protectionfilms24.com and I cut another protector bought at bestskinsever.com to fit the back and sides. I feel it is more comfortable to use the phone now because I was afraid I will hurt the device somehow and now I feel it is somewhat protected. I hope some pre-cut full-body protectors will be available after a while, but I feel convenienced with end result. The cutout near camera lens and noise microphone is not perfect, but still I feel it is much better that way. My back panel has a metallic-co

I have found at screen saver, I have an option to start it if it is docking or charging or both or never, but another option for always on display is missing from there. -

I have no shutter sound at all anyway, but I don't really need it. However, I miss some feedback of photo being taken. Not sound feedback but something like what I see on my Motorola G6. When I take a photo with my G6, the taken image blinks for a really short while - that is a proper way to have a visual feedback of the photo. That would also help of the behaviour of photo button - one can not really feel when it is fully pressed, but a blanking effect would help a lot. As of gallery thumbnail, I have found it works when I launch the application on touch screen, but never works -
Unfortunately, you are right. That is why I hope Pro1 will have success which will be enough for us to have Pro2, Pro3, etc later. ...but we cannot foresee the future and the last QWERTY phone before Pro1 was manufactured long long time ago. I had a gap of nearly one and a half year with Moto G6 after my N900 which was in use for years (with practically two phones) and basically its performance leaded me to switch. (Remember, 256 MB of RAM is almost nothing these days, however, the system itself still runs well on these resources.) I have used N900 from 2011 to 2018 anyway.

I have also experienced the keyboard lockout bug. I have the latest update installed. "F" key worked, others seem to be not (I have not checked caps lock). After reboot, it works again. Basically I have still a very few applications installed. -

The layout I currently use ("U.S. international for physical QWERTZ" - also has appropriate version for QWERTY keyboard) generates "!" for "shift+1", so it works as expected. Yes, I also have this bug. -

I think no. I can reach the characters listed in the link you wrote as "U.S. international for physical QWERTZ" because that is the layout I currently use. So also yellow arrow and Alt(gr) both show appropriate characters as in layout description. -

I have not selected German on my QWERTZ keyboard but downloaded FinQWERTY at first and chose appropriate layout (currently US QWERTY) after it. 🙂 -
It seems to be a good solution in portrait mode but unfortunately not in landscape as it applies to short edges then and there is no need to null at those edges but the long side in that mode.

I have just wanted to show you a part of a photo as an example: I think it is a really good macro photo and it was took in the evening with room light without any flash. Resistors and capacitors are 0805 components. It is more than enough for me. 🙂

Today I have just received my Pro1 bought at dragonbox.de (still a pre-orderer with IGG coupon here). I have still not tested it too much but I am very convenienced with this device. I am very happy that I have ordered QWERTZ layout which works very well currently with the help of FinQwerty's QWERTY layout. (I would have been much happier with unshifted QWERTY anyway but the QWERTZ keyboard with a correct QWERTY layout is a good compromise.) Some sticky modifier keys would be good anyway and also the ability to access layout files somehow (I have still not looked how to do it) as I

Although I have no information about my QWERTZ pre-order here with IGG coupon yet (I am still waiting for that one), I have received my Pro1 today which was bought at dragonbox.de. FedEx showed they will deliver it by the end of 23rd but they didn't and told misleading information about the shipment state. Finally it was delivered today by TNT which is another courier... and as far as I can see, TNT label was created on 23rd so I don't really know what happened and why FedEx told strange information on 23rd for me... What can I say it is definitively also a pre-order device as it also
