Yeah, the only other usb-c device I have is a z390 motherboard and I wouldn't risk that either. :))) It will remain a mystery untill I come across some cheap usb-c phone. I can send it for free to anyone willing to pay shipping costs from Romania. It doesn't have the power cable, it's just the box.

I found one at an IT recycling facility and got it for free but I am hesitant to connect my Pro1 to it. Some Fujitsu box with 3Xusb 3, 2Xusb c, ethernet, displayport, hdmi, vga and a connector for a power cord. Does it support a different resolution than phone screen? In mean, does it switch to 1920X1080 to use the whole screen you're connecting to instead of scaling the almost ultra-wide aspect ratio of the phone screen giving you black bars on the top and bottom of the external display?

Understood. I'll give it another go tomorrow.

I could distinguish the double lines until 1080p, not sure if I did the test correctly, I just opened the images at full size. Beyond 1080p, up to the largest resolution, the double line crosses looked different (thinner) from the single line ones but I couldn't tell why. Regarding my homescreen text, I can read it comfortably from about 30cm from my eyes on the Pro1 and about 40cm on my Priv, this maybe because of the Priv's huge ppi density. Pixel density may also be why I can't read the homescreen text in my screenshot above on my 4k PC monitor but can on my phone.

My favorites are: YouTube Vanced with Vanced Manager for updates - ad-free youtube, background playback, tons of options, skip resolution check and combined with the microg app from vanced manager you can also login to your account (it also has a black version and youtube music also has a vanced version in vanced manager). WPS Office for documents PowerDirector for on the go video editing (just for fun I was thinking a mobile version of Premiere would be really cool on the Pro1, and I found one 😄 ) Malwarebytes - antimalware app that saved my a** multiple times across t

Desktop mode is only supported from android 10 upwards. There are some apps that emulate it in android 9, but they have been pretty buggy for me. P.S.: Nice monitor. I'm on the U3417W and it's awesome.

I'm using mine with a Dell P2419HC monitor. It has an USB C port and 3 USB3 ones. After connecting the Pro1 via USB C to the monitor, and a USB dongle for a keyboard and mouse combo, I have the phone display on the Dell, phone charging and keyboard and mouse with one cable. May be a bit off topic, but could help if you want to connect to a monitor not a TV.

I just now saw @Kikka posted this on the 20'th of February. Wish I noticed this before writing that novel above, but since I ordered mine on the 19'th of February to replace my Priv, I'll just enjoy the coincidence. :)))

I have Malwarebytes pro installed on both my Priv and the Pro1. Works great: scans apk when downloading and before installing, passively checks for malware, doesn't use resources much, except for on demand scan. It actually cleaned my Priv once of a dodgy app that was constantly pushing full-screen ads while I was doing stuff in other apps on my phone, and that I wasn't able to uninstall normally. I ran an on demand scan in Malwarebytes, it saw the source of the issue and cleaned it all up with one click. Not sponsored. :)))

@Kikka Things my Priv does better in order of personal annoyance: Physical keyboard alt and shift had a lock (meaning I pressed shift, took my finger off it and then the next letter I would press would be a capital letter, same for numbers), on the Pro1 I have to use one of the 2 shifts or fn keys and keep them pressed while pressing another button, and also alternate between them, depending where the letter or symbol I want on the keyboard is, as it's wide Pro1 sometimes gets stuck on silent but reboot fixes that and it didn't happen that often Much better loudspeaker/c

Reboot fixed it! Thnx so much!

I have a Pro1 on stock firmware with the latest updates. Phone ring and notifications are muted. I checked everywhere and all volumes are at max in settings and "Do not disturb" is off. So, basically it's stuck on do not disturb while the UI indicates it's not. Media volume and volume while talking in calls behave normally. Anyone have a solution for this issue? I'm sorry if this is a repost but I didn't manage to find a similar thread. P.S.: I have the phone for about 6 weeks and this only happened about a week ago. I managed to make it work by just fiddling wi

Thnx for the info! What would the easyest rooting method be for the Pro1? Also, did WhatsApp still work after root?
-
Riptide Gp Renegade also works awesome with the keyboard. Keys are customizable and it is a premium game, so absolutely no in-app purchases.

Would the Pro1 support Substratum? Maybe a dumb question but I'd like to switch the white notifications and the settings to a darker colour. I'm on stock android 9.

As a sort of tip: I set "Smallest width" to 550 dp in Developer Options and everything looks stunning, if you want your apps to display more info. Also, I have a DELL 1080p monitor with USB-c and USB 3 ports and the phone works great with it, with just one cable you get: Video out Charging Any device plugged into monitor's USB ports is seen by the phone Also, with the 550 dp smallest width, apps look way better on the monitor. I tried various desktop layout apps but they are all pretty buggy. This seems like the cleanest compromise.

So... really cool about the proX and congrats on reaching the goal in under 3 hours @Waxberry! Despite just getting my pro1 3 weeks ago, I was hoping you would have a new model in the works 'cause I want to see you doing good. In the future I would need a company that makes phones I would actually buy. 😄 Three questions: Besides the 2 extra GB of RAM, improved keyboard layout and double storage, are there any other hardware differences? Software-wise would anything impede us pro1 owners to have the same OSes installed and have the same experience as on the proX? Does it

Does anyone else's display have a green tint between about 20% to 70% brightness? Mine dims fine but between the above values it has a green tint, like a dark green layer over it with about 20% opacity if I were to use a Photoshop analogy. Issue can't be captured in screenshots so it might be hardware- not software-related. I hope it's just some parameters in the OS that can be fixed in an update. I don't think it's normal AMOLED behaviour since issue isn't present on my Priv, S4mini or E7-00.

if I order today when will I receive the phone?
Rud replied to FTN00b22's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
Ordered mine on 19 Feb. 2020 if memory serves me and I got it about 3 weeks ago. Since I've only had phones with a physical QWERTY keyboard, it was worth the wait. The device itself is all I wanted in a smartphone: a mini laptop, not a social-media centric slab that dangles awesome hardware specs in front of you with no adequate input method. 🙂 -
I'll really need to get used to that, but makes sense. (From PC to phones all my triggers for second layers have only been on the left).

Any way to get sticky shift? By sticky shift I mean, on physical keyboard, press shift>take finger off shift>press a letter and you get the capital version of that letter and if you continue typing the other letters are lowercase (instead of having to press shift and that letter at the same time). Sticky fn would also be great. I didn't find a solution on the forum and this would greatly improve speed and comfort since the keyboard is wide and you have to perform acrobatics for uppercase A,Q,Z or any letters on the left side (also, I am used to this function from my Priv 🙂 ).

Here's a screenshot of the games I have installed (only the ones I detailed above properly support the keyboard), but I thought I'd share this if anyone is looking for some cyberpunk or pixel art game recommendations. Most of them are premium, so no pay to win, in-app purchases or ads. PPSSPP works great for PSP emulation if you put the on screen analogue stick in the top left and set buttons to Q W A S, d-pad to keyboard arrows and L to volume-up and R to right shift. SNES emulation is also great. I'll set up a NEO GEO emulator in the near future. PPSSPP

You're right. Behaviour is identical on mine. Sorry, I tested 3 and Vice City in game but for SA I saw keys worked in menu and also key binding options were available so I didn't test in game and supposed they work (don't have that much time). Also, key binding options are gone in game menu after first run.

What I tested and works with keyboard: Asphalt 8: steer with arrows, space for nitro, s key for handbrake/drift GTA 3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas: same key bindings as on PC, cheat codes work too (those also work on my Priv) What I will test soon: Implosion: Never Loose Hope: should work as it does with my Priv keyboard
