Works great with Dell U3818DW with built-in KVM switch. I'm pretty sure it does fast charge too cause charge level goes up real quick. However all I get on the screen is just a duplicate of the smartphone screen, no desktop mode it seems on stock Android 9. I wonder if there is an app for that? That's off topic though 😁

Investing in startups is like taking a bet, sometimes you lose. However, so far FxTec customers overall are on the winning side. That's coming from the guy who wrote "I own two broken Pro1s" and "Unboxing my thrid Pro1" 😁 Being a regular on those forums I'm confident there are hundreds if not thousands of happy Pro1 users who never had an issue with their device. I've been using Pro1 as my daily driver for almost a year, only had to change the screen once after the touch panel broke down. Thankfully I was lucky to buy on short notice a spare device from a gentleman on those forums so

Yes Pro1, is a good smart device but a mediocre phone. Hope they can invest in fixing some of those call quality issues at some point. Had a long phone call this morning and that way too loud speaker volume was really bothering me. With luck some of those issues will get fixed with Android 10, that's my hope anyway 🙂 but TBH I doubt it cause the driver layer is probably mostly the same.

It's rather too bright for my taste. I used to put a dimmer sticker on it. I gave up on that though.

Seeing as I don't do bitcoins mining on mine it's fair to say I don't have any power hungry background process running 😁 Early on, back in January or February, I had that issue where Gmail sync with ActiveSync was acting up, drain the battery and make the phone run hot but that's been fixed for months now. Is there an app I could run to simulate heavy load? How comes you are running power hungry background processes?

Actually something very similar happened to me a few months back. Only difference is it lasted just 15mn 😁 I know that does not help you much 😏 I believe long press on power button did the trick for me.

The main drawback of LOS over Android is that some apps may not work. Disney+ for instance or some app doing extra security checks, like banking app or Microsoft Authenticator maybe?
