Just wondering how much the folks in the first batch could make off a phone if they sold it boxed with next day delivery upon receiving...... Ah but would even double the money be worth not opening and keeping Precious for themselves. Whatever,PM me lol

That's what I remember seeing aa well and although, at the time, they expected to ship in July, it does NOT say anything about only pre-orders prior to July would receive the headphones and case. Kind of a weak move to throw that date out there later when in all actuality, every pre-order should get both, especially since all the delays in my opinion.

The battery on this phone is lower capacity than even the outdated Priv. It's true that a better chip is more efficient at running many tasks but at the end of the day, it's screen on time that is the biggest killer of battery. I can't see heavy users getting a whole day without charge when there is a large 6 inch diaplay to light regardless of chip efficiency.

The 'real' info is a running joke in that thread anyway. Every few days we get info that the fist batch is shipping and tracking will be provided 'soon' lol

Once I get my phone, I'll most likely be following XDA more to see what the wizards and warloks are doing to make the phone better

Don't know if I would count the Samsung one since the concept designer imagined the keyboard on a secondary slide-out screen as opposed to actual physical button keys.

I would just check out Etsy for a leather pouch or flip case. Plenty of people willing to do custom sizes. There's no way I'd buy a ton of cases that aren't designed for the Pro1 and will look like trash while not protecting the whole phone obviously since this is a slider. It's a $700 phone. Give it some real love.

Well if we add those others to the mix I equate that to more, yes. You are assuming that having the 855 would added a higher price point that would have elimated people that already bought from buying in the first place and I'm not since I believe people who wanted this phone still would have bought it since it's unique, niche, and what KB enthusiasts want and willing to pay for. Don't think my logic is invalidated by those who didn't buy because of price. I was specifically referring to the many comments by people who said they would buy with the most updated chip which fits in with a lot of kb die hard fans who have longed to see a slider be released with "flagship" specs and would pay whatever is asked. Not saying there won't be people who always complain about price or that the Pro1 specs aren't 'good'. I agree with you. That said, Pro1 would have sold more units with the latest chip based on comments I read on the F(x) tec FB page as well as comments on the various YouTube videos of reviews with early production versions of the Pro1.

Yeah there were rails bit the top piece was thin enough to snap onto the top half and thought maybe that would be doable here as well

The case is gonna be a pouch style now instead of a hard case. If I had to guess, I'd say some kind of neoprene pouch

I already have a nice handmade leather pouch for the Pro1 but I wonder if there was enough of us for a "group buy" if a phone case company would be interested in designing a hard case. I assume they would need a phone in hand to do that?

Didn't even know that was a thing. I generally don't pay much attention to new/upcoming/potential devices unless I see a KB lol

Final version of the Pro1 case!

Yeah I've had a feeling for a while that was going to be ths case so I ordered this leather pouch a while ago and the seller made the inside dimensions to match the Pro1 dimensions. Yeah I had someone on Etsy make me a handmade leather pouch on with the Pro1 dimensions. It's really nice and I'll most likely be using that. Plus, based on most early reviewers, other than EskeRahn, it's kind of a stretch to reach those middle keys and can't see that being any easier with a plastic case on so I'd rather use it naked.
