  1. As you can see, if you read through this thread, many are in your situation. Your options depend on whether you backed on IGG or not. If you backed on IGG, there are no refunds. You just have to wait and see-- we're hoping for an update on IGG soon. If you ordered from their web site as a pre-purchase, you can try going through your charge card or bank to do a charge-back.
  2. The app won't work with any other cable... it's as far as I understand a mirroring app that works only with specifically Miracast compatible cables. I assume it's one of the Miracast apps in the play store, but there are several and I don't know which one.
  3. The Pro1x can't do true HDMI out. It can only use a Miracast cable like the one linked below and a Chinese app. It has been noted by someone in Discord that you can deny the Chinese app all permissions and it still works. 🙂 I have not obtained the cable or tried this-- not a use case I need. https://www.amazon.com/Android-Mirroring-Charging-Smartphones-Projector/dp/B08LN8Z6QX or https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256801266552716.html
  4. lineage-20.0-20230727-nightly-pro1x with July 5th security patch installed smoothly via OTA. MindTheGapps13, and root was maintained.
  5. @tdmhasn't been here since March of 2022, so while it doesn't hurt to send out the call with the mention I just made, I'm not sure we'll get an answer.
  6. Yes, that is what happened to me the second time a few weeks before my warranty was up in 2021. I took it in to my local shop and had them put in a AlieExpress screen (on FxTec's advice since they didn't have any screens at the time) and it too wouldn't respond, so it was something deeper than the display or the cable. Sent it in to FxTec but had to wait 6 months for a screen as they were getting Pro1 parts with Pro1x parts. I don't know what they did exactly, but my Pro1 is still going fine more than a year later. I think you may have to send it to them. They have Pro1 screens in stock
  7. for most of the pro 1 design and production, Chen was able to spend a lot of time in China over-seeing things. That seems to be a requirement.
  8. As you can see from the latest update, Planet Computers are having their own problems... https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/astro-slide-5g-transformer/x/17980121#/updates/all
  9. That was kind of my point. The only way it would be proper for all the ports and buttons is if it's a universal case that didn't have anything designed for either ports or buttons. I just was curious why they decided to market it for a low volume hard to get phone. 😉
  10. Interestigly, Amazon presented me with this link today. They make very strong claims about it working with the Pro1x. Since I find it unlikely it was actually designed for the pro1x, I assume it uses some kind of grip rather than a TPU bumper as that would explain all buttons and pports being available. Not what I want, but thought others might be interested and found it interesting they focused on the Pro1x. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08N3ZHT3R
  11. lineage-20.0-20230713-nightly-pro1x with July 5th security patch installed smoothly via OTA. I have MindTheGapps13, and root was maintained. This was done on the road using my sons wifi. No disconnects, 🙂
  12. Well, I'm out in CO now and my pro1X works great as a phone here. It immediately grabbed Band 4. Calls are clear on both ends. Either Both home and here has really great T-Moble (which is possible-- an n=2 locations is not a lot of data) or there are Pro1xs that work and Pro1xs that don't work. Variability in manufacturing quality? Could that be why the beta testers never found this problem before release?
  13. In summer, when I don't have jacket pockets, my pro1x is in my left front jeans pocket, my wallet and keys in my right front Jeans pocket and, since I am going to the car, my Moto Verizon slab is in my back jeans pocket. The Moto immediately comes out and is hooked up to the dashboard to provide Android Auto for calls and mapping. 🙂
  14. Some pictures of my butchery... Camera is fine. No obstruction to lens.
  15. The latter is too much case for me. As I said, I don't like cases. I want to see the phone itself.
  16. I have no idea if this case is already in this thread. I don't like cases, but I like bumpers and back protection, to protect from scraping rather than dropping, although TPU bumpers help there. On My Pro1 it was easy to find a matte black skin that fit, which was easy as you almost can't tell my Pro1 has anything on it. But I liked the Pro1x's color and couldn't find a skin that did it justice. So I got this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N6C258G Fits nicely, not to hard to hack up to properly accommodate buttons and speakers and headphone jack and USB port. The camera window is ju
  17. Considering I still get security updates for my (admittedly "unofficial") Lineage on my 2014 Samsung Tab S, I think so. If they stop making official builds down the line, there will no doubt be someone who can keep patching older builds with current security patches, Like @claude0001does for Lineage 16.
  18. I moved this post here, where discussions on this topic take place. This is a user-to-user forum, so we can't answer your question. Although we do sometimes see input from @Casey and others, the answer to your question will always be whatever the latest update on the IGG site is as that is the official information.
  19. They do list Band 41 on their website, but as UC 5G. https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/t-mobile-network
  20. I believe T-Mobile is now using Band 41 for 5G exclusively these days (I'm no expert, so I could be wrong). The Pro1x lists Band 41 in the specs, but I'm pretty sure it was Sprint back then so who knows what the Pro1x thinks it is doing when it encounters it. If you still have 5G in your preferred network type list, try picking a list that doesn't include it (I use LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/ExDo/GSM/WCDMA-- admittedly, most of those are useless too, but there is no reason to include NR which is 5G). My Pro1x here mostly stays on Band 4, occasionally Band 2.
  21. I'll be taking my Pro1x, which works great as a phone where I am in the US, with me on a week long trip to Colorado. Will be very interested to see if anything changes. If T-Mobile in CO forces me to lower frequency bands, I would expect to have problems. Will be interesting,

  23. I suspect that you kept missing the right sequencing, until you finally hit it in trying everything. The steps and order of those steps are important. The 25 cent version: After you fastboot flash boot.img and dtbo.img you then reboot into recovery. Next you factory reset to make sure userdata has been wiped. You then go into the advanced menu and enable adb. Then you go to applu update and apply for adb and issue the adb sideload command from your computer. When it has completely installed, reboot to recovery. You may then sideload Gapps or anything else. You MUST do this final r
  24. FinQwerty doesn't work on Lineage. I'm not sure why your semicolon doesn't work. What layout do you have selected under settings->System->Languages & input->Physical keyboardBuiltin Keyboard? I have 2 layouts selected that I can switch between using Fn-space bar: "F(x)Tec Qwerty" and "English (US)" Semi-colon works fine on both. "F(x)Tec Qwerty" gives you the keyboard map that matches the physical prints on the keyboard. With "English (US)" the layout changes so that I have few alterations that don't match the physical prints in a very few cases: "/-|" becomes "/-?"; "?-
