  1. Yesterday
  2. Just for the record, their linxdot forums have also turned private, with no option to join. There seems to be a Discord channel, though, which can be entered.
  3. On that page, they also mention LinxDot, Clicks and DeckHD which seem to be intended for being links but they also point nowhere although those pages exist.
  4. I hope you are right, but if so a bit odd they did not provide a link on the new front page. Time will tell if it will be added later... could also be that they just archived it for now,, until they decide what to do.
  5. ...and it also looks better from this viewpoint... So if they want to have a more general opening page where they can show their different products and smartphones are only one category of them, then it may be a good sign... 🙂 (So they may not want to shut down their smartphone business but extend (incorporate) their other product lines...)
  6. Ah! so they sort of moved www.fxtec.com to www.fxtec.com/smartphones So anything with relative links works there
  7. As I found with a different set of links, not everything on those pages work though it's true they don't take you to the new page... they just don't work. And neither link has the videos, although they are still available HERE and HERE (on the second link you have to scroll down to find the take apart and repair videos).
  8. Videos are still live too. I downloaded the pages to offlines. Nothing is ever "gone".

  10. Another difference is (at least for the very first hundreds of Pro1) is the gluing strength of the display. (F(x)tec covered almost its entire back of the display leaving only edges for fixing display to frame - they apparently modified this solution to fully use display's original sticky part without covering.) By mistake, once I have ordered an Elephone U Pro display together with its frame. It was a metal frame (so very rigid) and display was fully glued to the surface (whole sticky area was used) - it was not easy to remove it to be used in Pro1. Definitively there is a reas
  11. @VaZso Check this 'fix' for your ghost touch problems. I've had no issues about it anymore. The touch problem didn't appear with the original Elephone U Pro so the display itself can't be at fault. My guess is that FxTec left too little space for the touch screen ribbon cable and therefore squeezed it too much. By natural movement (i.e. in pockets), the ribbon cable lines eventually brakes right where the plastic corner of the frame is.
  12. Last week
  13. yes, e.g. https://web.archive.org/web/20240317094412/https://www.fxtec.com/ https://web.archive.org/web/20240317094415/https://www.fxtec.com/pro1x
  14. Are they available on wayback? Edit: nm. @EskeRahn already suggested such in original post.
  15. Strange... I hope for original pages to be officially available later, for example, phone specs... I don't know if this change is a good or bad sign... at least they mention their other projects there... I hope it is a temporary page before coming back... or at least they keep this forum running... I don't know what to think about it.
  16. Unfortunately, no. You can get to an older version of the site by clicking on the "Shop" link at the top of the forum, but the FAQ and Support links will just take you to the new default page.
  17. It seems that currently all fxtec.com pages except the comunity is reroutetd to a common page. Anyone that knows how to access the other pages, if they still exists that is? Obviosly there is always the webarchive, but.... ADD: @sequestris reported that stuff seems to still be available, now under a subpage: www.fxtec.com/smartphones (Not all links/buttons are working though)
  18. (lineage-21.0-20240427-nightly-pro1-signed.zip on Apr 5 security patch installed smoothly (*) using adb sideload and MindTheGapps-14.0.0-arm64-20231025_234300) And we still can only select one keyboard layout, so no easy layout switching, for multilingual usage. I think I will reduce to something like monthly updates, if development is slowed down anyway....
  19. Pro1 uses a display originally manufactured for Elephone U Pro. Here is an original display (my handwriting of the amount of black spot problem was blured) made for Elephone U Pro: Here are the displays arrived today: No, the original display I had in my hands was the original display of my Pro1 (early version). It looked like the top/bottom displays in the photo above. However, looking deeper of the most right one which is installed in frame, I suspect its sticky part was not covered with black tape (like the display in the middle). I think it may be a repl
  20. Can you provide us with photos why you think they are original displays? As far as I know, the Pro1 displays were originally displays from the Elephone which were repurposed. From reading your explanation, I could imagine the 'original' phone display you had in your hands was also from an Elephone. Anyways, there are two more important factors: does the display have black notches on the sides or even on the middle of the screen? Are the edges touch-sensitive? (I've had replacement displays with invisible edges and others that worked fine) If both are answered with 'Yes' then
  21. I have received my order from this seller today. I have ordered both displays with and without frame. The frame looks original part and display was declared to have small dots at the bottom. Also, these displays look like if they were prepared or more probably installed earlier in Pro1s. Original display has a blue foil to cover sticky copper part at a big area of its bottom as it arrives from manufacturer. Pro1's display originally has a black tape to cover most area of sticky part (after blue foil removed) and also a conductive tape for shielding display controller area.
  22. Lineage-21-20240429-NIGHTLY-pro1x with Apr 5th security patch installed smoothly via OTA. MindTheGapps14, and root was maintained.
  23. Lineage-21-20240422-NIGHTLY-pro1x installed OTA with no issues. I'm not rooted.
  24. Oh, I missed the question...! There is a fairly easy way to statically add kcm files with the need to build and install a new apk after adding – not dynamically, though. https://community.fxtec.com/topic/3848-pro1-x-us-and-us-intl-with-dead-keys-keyboard-layouts-finqwerty/?tab=comments#comment-65908 I cloned FinQwerty, I think I modified pro1x_qwerty_usa_1.kcm because it had a bug, then I created a new kcm file pro1x_qwerty_usaintl_1.kcm (to use myself), added entries for the latter in generate_layouts.py and in the finqwerty_layouts.xml and built a new apk (using IntelliJ IDEA
  25. Lineage-21.0-20240427nightly-pro1-signed.zip on April 5 (2024) security patch, installed smoothly using OTA -> Still the bluetooth issue with my smartwatch (will be patched with QPR2, I think / read)
  26. From what I remember, I think it isn't, because there are Android limitations that forbid it.
  27. It seems they try to get money from other projects. Also, as shipping company has started to sell phones may result in the lack of enough phones left to be sent. Although they told shipping company does not sell client's phones, it may not necessarily completely true - they may not had the actual number of phones sold this way and they may counted with additional stock manufactured (over the necessary amount) will cover this kind of loss but final number of sold Pro1X this way was also continued after they told it does not affect client's phones. So in their last message, start of shi
