  1. Quick update... Got lineage to boot in enforcing mode today. Still need to tweak a few rules to get the fingerprint reader and lights hal to work. I'll probably have that done in a couple days. Then I'll start preparing for official lineage support. And of course, after that it's on to Q. Which should be pretty fast and easy. I'll be trying to get VoLTE working next week. @Hook has sent me a Verizon SIM to use for testing. Thanks!

  2. 5mm hole punch does the job just fine then you can try any material you want.

  3. Just a heads up, according to the support, I will get it shipped in 1.5 weeks. I'll keep you informed if that's really the case. 🙂 313XX / QWERTZ Paid in August

  4. 2mm neoprene. I'll try with those 3 for a while they should flatten over time, they are really squishy. Just setting up those three is fixing any rattling when closed.

  5. If you are on Linux, I recommend mounting with jmtpfs and then you can backup and restore however you like. Anything from tar to rsync to a GUI backup utility.

  6. That's the advantage of Lineage. We can be updated to 10 maybe before IdeaLTE does it. And even if we can't, security updates can be delivered. My Samsung TAB S from 2014 is on the Lineage version of Nougat, but it has the June 2020 security update. I'm not arguing if you prefer Linux, but just saying that Lineage can keep Android going far past Google's official support. So long as apps don't exceed the capability of the hardware, things can go on a long time.

  7. Yes, I use a Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro watch and indeed I've noticed more quick status notifications (that show for a second and then hide again) in the latest weeks from their sync app for Android. Hadn't connected it with the update, but yeah, I guess they might've started at the same time.

  8. Uninstall the older version. Certificate was change.

  9. I'll be the first to say it, I'm very happy with stock. Works great and has Verizon support.

  10. I don't know for sure, but initial code inspection seems to indicate there is no debounce interval set for the power button. This would be trivial to add.

  11. Ubuntu Touch with transparent Android apps support would be my dream. Wouldn't get any of those security-sensitive apps to run there, I suppose...

  12. Just get rid of the bugs in the stock software and I'm good.

  13. Yup that will work for Sweden&Finland. For Norway and Denmark we use different symbols for Ö and Ä (yes utterly silly!!!!), and for some strange reason some crazed Dane had the idea of swapping these two keys-also....

  14. Selfishly, that's all I care about. I doubt I will ever go back to stock except to experiment. 😄

  15. Leave it on, here again Fx Service provides a quick settings tile to toggle it.

  16. It's indeed pretty useless cause the light sensor lacks precision in low light conditions. I used to use it only to disable screen filter until I just gave up on it. It is easier to just turn the screen filter on and off yourself. There is a quick settings tile to do that or Ctrl+Fn+O. Long press the quick settings tile will take you to Fx Service app where you can easily adjust the brightness or with Fx Qwerty Alt + Up or Down.

  17. I can't install the latest on update on Pro1. When I press the APK file nothing happens. However, I am able to to install older version just fine. Is it just me? Suggestion: It would be great if there would be an option to schedule only the screen filter. Mostly I use screen filter when I am going to sleep. Now I just manually toggle filter on at bedtime since the adaptive brightness is not working for me very well. (I don't know if I should disable stock adaptive brightness from Android settings when I am using Fx Service). Other than that Fx Service is very good app with flip cover.

  18. I would like to be a tester 🙂. If you are able to create QWERTZ version it would be very nice to see Scandic also. Basically it could be almost identical to QWERTZ with these fixes: Ü -> Å (replace) Y <-> Z (swap)

  19. Of course I can only change that in lineage, stock is another matter.

  20. I know there are a lot of hardware issues @Slion and it's not that which is the problem - it's the insinuation that I'm essentially lying in order to get another display..

  21. Frankly, I just want smoothly operating Android, which Lineage is fast becoming. I've used Android for 10 years and have assembled a fine set of Apps that do what I want in pretty much the way I want them to do it, allowing me great productivity, especially with a physical keyboard.

  22. If someone is interested to work on and test an Fx Qwertz version just let me know.

  23. I don't know about finqwerty or stock cause I have not used them in a while but things like that is not needed when using Fx Qwerty. If the application is not interpreting Esc it will be sent Back. Therefore you can just do Esc and it will act as Back if need be.
