Sorry, could you clarify what you're referring to by "the ones mentioned"? If you mean the long delays, I can tell you I'm qwertY with an early Dec 2019 order. I've just been assuming that that puts me in the pack most impacted by COVID complications (and for the record, I'm alright with the COVID delays. I'd rather wait another year than have a phone that somebody died to produce)

True and GPS (GNSS) reception can be very poor inside a house or at a place where there are several tall buildings near the road - this is in general, not Pro1-related. Now I remember what helped me on my Moto G6. 🙂 It did not have GNSS reception even after reboot (but tower-based guessing instead) till I have modified what kind of position systems are allowed to use by Android then set it back to allow GNSS / Tower / whatever it had. The lengthy initial fix problem is a well known GPS issue that is supposed to be mitigated by AGPS. With GPS only it may take a good 15mn without moving with a clear view of the sky to get a fix. That's especially true if you kept GPS off for a long time or if you moved significantly since your last GPS fix. If you keep on driving before your initial fix it is very possible you won't get a fix until you remain stationary long enough. Now AGPS is supposed to help speed up initial GPS fix. It looks like Pro1 is using a service from Qualcomm called IZat for this. Go to Settings >

Yes, I have the same problem. It has a mind of it's own. I didn't manage to find the right recipe to make it always work (reboots, enable/disable, clearing cache agps etc). I've installed some additional software to clear the agps and it manage to see the sattelites (22, 24, even 27) but it wouldn't connect to any of them. Sometimes, suddenly connects after 30 minutes, for example, out of the blue, while not running anything or running the same software.

I'm running into an issue where sometimes my Pro1 can't get a GPS lock, and maps other location-based apps will either show me at home (even though I'm not) or show a very approximate location (presumably based on cell towers and/or WiFi). If I try to use navigation in Android Auto, the GPS will either work the whole drive, or never work. If it doesn't work at the start of the drive, I've never had it get a lock and start updating partway through, even after 30 minutes of driving. I was referring to those that stated they have been waiting for a year. Though you are over nine month and that is sad too. I do not know how deep the stack is. The latest info we got with a number was with the large batch that was partly blocked by the Covid, and here they said they had reached 70% of the pre orders. But they used this complex nation-based system to decide who was next, so hard for us outside the system to guess what this means for your particular order in your 'national stack'. But they have said a new batch was expected in September so hopefully you will be part of that one

Well if you go to Settings►System►Language & Input►Physical keyboard►Keyboard shortcuts helper You will see that it officially is not Ctrl but the magnifying glass. Something somewhere maps Ctrl+Space to this. However it is not limited to the Pro1 see e.g. https://github.com/klausw/hackerskeyboard/issues/142

I just made a completely fresh install of Lineage, and here Ctrl+Space does NOT cycle through the languages selected, so it can be turned off or altered somewhere (do not know where though) Please ignore... Only selected one... 🙄

Make sure the battery saver is not on. It prevents GPS to get any signal even if location services and data are on. I found this after a few months of very poor GPS performance (long periods until getting position, if at all), my battery saver was mostly on.

I am also using a black P20 Pro case which I have modified for the Pro1's holes and I am convinced. Edge touching is much better I think, but keyboard opening is a bit harder. However, I can open it easily by lifting its back up first. I wanted to have some protection because a phone with real keyboard is very important for me...

Me too. Both @elvissteinjr Tasker scripts and Null Edge (I preferred the former) worked well on stock for me, while the setting on Lineage makes them unnecessary.

The majority of the orders are complete. It's only natural for people to discuss a problem in the community, not the lack of. We barely ever hear from the customers who have received their devices in contrast to those who haven't. It's the cycle of purchasing a Pro1 - order > join the community to see if you're the only one waiting > receive the device a few months later > exit community. Of course, we are lucky to have very supportive Pro1 advocates who discuss the positive experiences with their Pro1, but a complain is typically a lot more of a reason to speak than a posit

This app cannot force rotation, but I did think of a good use case for it. Discord, which on stock only works in landscape when auto-rotate is turned on, ignores the stock slider setting for landscape lock. I'm trying to find an app that will force landscape when I use google hangouts with keyboard open, without remaining force landscape when I close keyboard, and without overriding my auto-rotation settings. I've also submitted this as a feature request for Lineage, which would be even better than an app... I've tried a couple apps that can force landscape all right, but they do
