I thought the pro1 was big and this is even bigger. Do people not care about using their phones with one hand anymore? Wish they would work on trimming these phones down and making them more compact.

Quick update on the shenanigans. Got an email requesting I return the phone for possible repair/replacement. Hopefully get it sorted soon. 😊

Somehow I'm not surprised that they a mere seven months after the campaign ended are still prototyping.... The idea of sliding the top all the way and then tilting is interesting, to allow for a larger keyboard area. But to be practically useful they will have to find a clever way to also synchronise the two 'rails'. Not to mention how to make such a complex mechanism at the least somehow resistant to pocket lint.

I'd like that, too. I loved the tiny Xperia X1, for example. But then again, I've become used to the large screen, and wouldn't want to miss much of that, either. Without someone finding out how to distort space-time in a controlled way, I fear I can't have both!

Meanwhile Astro slides IGG campaign is still running and they are still prototyping 🤣 They raised more cash than Pro1 X campaign but they have been running for much longer, like 6 months longer. I'm pretty sure if we were projecting growth the FxTec campaign would be way ahead of the Astro.

I too would try it out on a less hard to get device first....

P30 Pro outputs FHD in desktop mode which is rather underwhelming and gives me black bars left and right on my ultra wide display. Though is would look great if you connect to a FHD display.

I have been using LOS 18 for 14 days and i am quite happy with it. Volte works on the latest builds and the phone works fast, would say like LOS 17. Like the new android features. Didn't find any bugs besides not working vowifi yet. Magisk v21, Gapps, xposed, banking apps... everything works. Not sure about my sound quality during call (me not them) but was shitty before.

Already tried it on my P50, it works fine.

Hm, you're right. Now that I looked closer, I also see it on my Priv. I guess, it was just a lot more visible on the Pro1 due to the greenish tint or the pixels react a tad slower.

Most every OLED display does that.

I am not entirely sure, if what I'm observing is part of the same issue or something different. Also I'm wondering if anyone else has it. During scrolling, when there is a black area adjacent to a grey area, the black area leaves weird trails in the grey for a moment.

Support came back to me today and it looks like I'll be joining the queue for a Pro1 X very soon. TBH I'm not expecting it before Christmas 2021 😁

A few tips for IGG contributions in case you haven't done so already. Please disable any proxies, or VPNs that you may have running. We see people using those a lot more often now, but for any fraud protection such as what Stripe has (what IGG uses for payments), that's a no no. It's also important that your billing and shipping address match the address where your card is registered. You should also call your bank immediately after the failed payment attempt and they should typically be able to tell you why. Or you can email us at [email protected] and we'll generate an internal order match

😮I didn't expect that I don't mind that much... I like the reduced screen option as an alternative. Both sides screen reduction would be my usual favorite. Even way better of both worlds if I could trigger any of those automatically! I wonder if we can get root access (with proper locks) in the signed and locked phone too....
