  1. Note also the substantially increased length and thickness - while decreasing the display

  3. I want to share my experience regarding the wireless charge. I am using Pro 1 running LinageOS 17.1 (Android 10). I bought two wireless receivers from Amazon, Japan. I tried it without a case/cover. Left: Output 800-1000mA / Light turns on, but don't charge. https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B08P2N5M1Q/ Right: Output 1300mA Max / Light turns on, able to charge, displaying [charging slowly] πŸ™‚ https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B088NRBHBP/ While charging, the receiver makes a small noise from the coil, and it is a bit annoying in a quiet environment. I used

  4. By the way, note that they have removed the change matrix and revised their "story" to reflect the current specs with no notation of there being a change. I understand, but some transparency would have been nice. (This was pointed out by someone else of Discord before I saw it, so I am just echoing my agreement here πŸ˜‰ ) Be interesting to see what they reveal in their "first look" event Tuesday.

  5. @Rob. S. maybe this is of interest? as you have the most delayed qwertz order of this forum (more than a year) if I understood well, and a great amount of patience

  6. Astro has taken a bit of a hit on last update they have finalised the specs and had to use the mediatek 800 instead of the 1000 as they wouldn't license it to them! I suspect they are having FAB problems like everyone else though nothing sinister πŸ˜„ They have put more RAM in it though and now has a AMOLED display and camera is a Sony 48MP one.

  8. Thanks for the suggestion. Turns out, there was a setting in Fx Service that I had overlooked. So feel free to (re)move my comment ;)

  9. See what you mean! "Astro Slide (Initial Specification)" now lists the 800 not 1000 πŸ˜„

  10. (I can say that I do not have this, so can confirm that it must be a setting somewhere...) If you in setting search for "haptic", multiple settings appear, I would try to check those.

  11. With a little luck the extra thickness is used to improve and strengthen the slider mechanism from the initial ones we saw, that was rather unimpressive.

  12. Maybe that is the difference between an initial design and a real product... (They may were a bit behind than what they showed initially.)

  13. ah missed that yes 3500 now. Saying that the original was only an estimate not an exact figure.

  14. Thanks for the pointer, much appreciated! πŸ™‚ I actually thought about it for a moment, but then there's not only my original order (now changed to QWERTY) already, I also ordered a QWERTZ Pro1X through the Indiegogo campaign. I guess a third device would be overdoing it... πŸ˜‰ I just hope my 1.5 year old Moto Z3 Play's already deteriorating battery will stay usable for as long as it has to take for the first of the Pro1s to come in...

  15. My guess would be that it's simply a matter of supply. Somehow it looks as if Fxtec managed to source the best smartphone keyboard hardware they could get, but now they're somehow at the supplier's mercy with regard to availability and quantities. And I can see why they wouldn't want to stock a lot of spare QWERTZ keyboards while a few people are still waiting for their QWERTZ phones...

  16. Just removed the taskbar, added a rotation app for some annoying apps, and added fullscreen gestures. Im a happy man.

  17. At some point in time (before production), they wrote something about improving the durability of keyboard, if I remember well. They did not write details but maybe this is one of the differences, or the difference itself. πŸ™‚

  18. I think it may happen the screws under the circular covers may get loose. When I have replaced my display, every screws were loose and one of them was almost totally unscrewed. I haven't checked other screws in my device as I did not want to remove more covers. So I think tightening its screws will help you...

  19. Off the current topic, but MediaTek is a big no for me. A Pro2 should ideally just be smaller with a flat screen– not everyone has gigantic thumbs– and all variants of NR. But I understand the part supply costs involved.
