So I put in an order for a Pro1 over the weekend. I just saw that the Pro1-X was available again so I emailed fxtec and asked if I could upgrade to the X. They replied "News are coming about this on Tuesday, so please wait until then." Hmmm...

Isn't it possible to exclude bidders based on minimum feedback, or at least exclude bidders with zero feedback? Personally I've never used that option, but I seem to remember that I've seen something like it... I'm no freqent seller on ebay myself, but I must say my experience overall is nothing but positive, except of course the exorbitant 10% sales commission for ebay which just can't be helped, that's how monopolies go. I guess @MalteM got really unlucky in this case...

A slight hint on linking ebay listings with drop downs. Unfortunately they do not update the active URL when you choose something from the drop downs. The easiest way I found to get the relevant link for a selected variant is to Add the variant to your Basket. Go to your Basket, and right click the link from there and and from the pop-up content menu choose to copy the link. Remove the item from your cart. The important thing is the var part of the link. E.g.: Your general link https://www.ebay.de/itm/133342103922 becomes e.g. https://www.ebay.de/itm/

Yes, finally managed to sell it. Ebay sure was a hassle with all their rules and exceptions. I don't want to use them ever again for these kinds of sells - it was super complicated. But hopefully new buyer will be happy.

Accidental touches aren't that annoying to me. I just hold the phone a bit different while keyboard is closed, not difficult since it's thick, and while open, my fingers wouldn't be on the edges anyway. I don't use edge null since status and navigation bars are hidden system wide and I toggle the by swiping on the screen edges.

Had this Issue on a Huawei P20 Pro before - fingerprint sensor getting hot, due to that fast discharging battery. Disconnected the connector aswell to save costs. Just want to point out, that I would not blame F(x)Tec for that fault, defects like that can occur. (imagine this happening on an 🍏7/8..)

The curved screen is the main thing I don't like about the Pro1/X and the second one are the rounded corners but I backed Pro1-X anyway because there may not be a powerful device supported by UT anytime soon and I like the color 😄 So what are the actual benefits of having the curved screens on phones? To me it seems to just cause unnecessary usability issues. The curved screens, rounded corners and notches are the things I hate on phones nowadays 😆

I have already tried numerous new sims from other providers, they all worked even worse. However there are good news, i just disassembled the device and made sure all the contact-pads for the aluminum case (which seems to be the antenna itself, gorgeous engineering!) have better contact and all the coax cables are in place - now the 4g reception is a lot quicker and i finally can take calls from my desk again. I now have a similar amount of reception at my desk that i used to have with my old droid 4 🙂 So yeah if anyone else has those problems, you can disassemble

Love these, especially the prawn one is awesome (crustaceans for the win). What does it stand for? Seeing this topic, does that mean you have fully disassembled the device before? Do you know how to reach the antenna assembly?

Also have QWERTZ with O2 in Germany. Reception is not as good as with a Nokia 6.1, but not all that bad for me. Keyboard backlight is working fine for me -> maybe you have a defektive device? For ?äöü, usw, you need to choose the correct qwertz layout in Settings (I think on stock "none" is correct). I personally would suggest SwiftKey as Keyboard App. Works well for me and has word suggestions and seperate settings for the hardware keyboard. Also I second @DieBruines suggestion of Fx Service, it has some useful fixes implemented.

Install Sion's app Fx Service | Slions or switch to a custom ROM to help with the first two questions. It's not like we will be able to re-write stock. For Qwertz support, check the Qwertz topic, that's what it's for. There were I think two or three people who complained about reception. Either you have a faulty device, or you have some bad luck. Some providers use bands that pose a problem on the Pro1. But again, this has only been reported two or three times to my recollection. There is no remedy for bad reception in this case. At least one user has sold his phone because of this.
