  1. If you've taken your Pro1 apart before you will have noticed it's mostly held together with screws hidden behind small circular stickers: And while it's possible to take these off without damaging, if you are me you entirely destroy them in the removal process :D. Also I do like to get creative, so I made a solution: They're made from thick laminated vinyl (made by Orafol), and obviously quite different than the original stickers but they do the job well I think. I could not achieve the same roundness as the original since this would cost too much for smaller quantitites (to cut th

  2. I haven't found much with regard to independent reviews on the net and the company seems to be quite new, but from what I see there (including the feedback on Play Store for the accompanying app), it looks very, very promising. It's basically kind of a USB stick that sits between the charger and the phone, talking to a dedicated app on the phone, stopping the charge at a user-defined limit like 80%. I've just ordered three, and while I can't test it with a Pro¹ because I haven't got mine yet, I'll be giving it a thorough try. Wish I would have had something like that for the last couple o

  3. Yes, the newest flashable version is from the link in the OP. The post hasn't been updated to change the date and the file doesn't include the date in the filename, but it is the latest version, newer than 13 Nov. It is from 06 December (I dated my copy when I downloaded it).

  4. From my experience, after I was clear in telling them that I don't even mind if shipping takes a year, but it really helps my brain to know roughly what month it would arrive in, they gave me a realistic estimate and it actually arrived when they said it would. My point is that, in my communication with them, they always acted in good faith and I'm sure you'll get your money back, but you may have to email them and maybe kindly tell them that there's no stress but the amount the phone cost is quite significant to you and you would need to know when you could expect it, so you can organise

  5. I'm still on LineageOS 16 (without Gapps). As the kernel and (I think) the camera driver are always the same, I wonder whether the OS makes any difference, though. I restrict myself to FOSS apps as far as possible. Of those, I found OpenCamera to work best with the double-action shutter button. That said, and even after a few months of training, I am still not as confident with the shutter button than I was with the one of my old phone (N900). Many pictures still come out defocused when I use the hardware shutter button. I'm not sure if its the mechanics of the button, software issue

  6. Indeed, and much can be gained (as others have said) by adding this or that to fix stuff, or change the entire OS. It is such a shame that it could be so much better out of the box.

  7. Totally agreed...poor stock android is in some dire need of an update. I know they are supposedly working on 10 but that announcement was pretty long ago and it just doesn't seem to be happening. lol

  8. I hope they will make Android 10 or 11 happen.

  9. My impression regarding the shipping estimate on the web page is that they stopped to bother updating it at some point, because they themselves were dependent on the estimates they got from their contract manufacturer, and the contract manufacturer from the estimates of their suppliers, and many times estimates which were made in good faith didn't hold because somewhere something didn't work as planned. Ok, they could write "unknown", but that would of course keep people from ordering... With all my being sympathetic to what they do including their errors, though, my impression after so m

  11. I think you mean 2020. I think Chen and Eske were the only ones with a Pro 1 in May of 2019. 😄

  12. I've had mine just a bit over a year but don't recall the exact date of arrival, still the best phone ever <3. I feel compelled to share my stickers thread here :D.

  13. I have another problem with SwiftKey (different from the one I described above) and wanted to ask, if it also affects others. I'm on LineageOS 17.1, but it would also be good to hear from people on other OS, if they have something like that as well. When I press Shift and the first letter at about the same time and then continue writing, not only the first, but also the second letter comes out capitalised sometimes. I can wait seconds before pressing the next letter, so it's not because I had Shift still pressed while typing too fast. Disabling SwiftKey and reenabling the AOSP keyboard solves
