  1. Maybe we should pin that thread, edit the title to something like: "Replacement screen digitiser calibration" and prefix the first post with a summary?

  2. While it's not directly related to LineageOS, I thought I might ask here as well, as it might be something that can be added: You can read more details about my issue here: Basically, I bought replacement screens from China from multiple vendors. They work fine, but they don't react to touches on the edge of the screen. I first thought the touchscreen is unresponsive - but that's not it: when I enable the function in the developer mode that shows the coordinates and draws your touches on the screen, I noticed that I can slide to the edge of the screen without any issues and 100

  3. I just recently installed AICP on my Pro1 and, in another thread, I was asked how I went about getting root and Safetynet working, including Google Pay working. It was pretty straight-forward really, but I had to dig around a bit to figure it out. Here are the exact steps, as best I recollect them. This may not be the best or only way, but it worked for me. And thanks to a number of developers/contributors and forum posts which I consulted while figuring out this process. - Wipe phone, fastboot flash Lineage recovery, then adb sideload AICP and NikGapps ZIPs. Checked phone boots into Andr

  5. I'm usually not one to abuse my gear, but the last twelve months or so were particularly unlucky ones with regard to screens! Last year I bought a new TV (thankfully a cheap one, less than half of the regular Pro1 price...) and I destroyed the panel on the day it had been delivered, in the act of mounting the set on the wall... At least I learned tow things that day! One, modern TV panels are extremely delicate, and two, contrary to phones, modern TVs can only be disposed of once the panel is damaged. In relation to the panel there's nothing else of value in them...

  6. They use the same BOE screen, yes. I bought a few as spares too.

  7. A black spot of 3mm diameter, after dropping the phone, hitting a wooden floor hard with the display facing downwards. Doesn't make the phone unusable, but at some point I'll want to replace the screen. Already bought two replacement screens, one for spares... Good question.

  8. I remember you got your device only a month ago or so. What's wrong with your screen? Just asking ... About that APK for installing the required firmware: Is it (legally?) impossible to put that up somewhere for public download? It will certainly be of interest to many sooner or later. People replacing their screens will typically want to avoid reflashing their phones to stock and back just to get the replacement screen working.

  9. I'm about to replace my screen as well and I have asked for the APK, too. I just need to make sure before I start that rooting the phone (running on unrooted LineageOS 17.1) doesn't break anything for me...

  10. Hi re-flashed the phone two days ago, and now the HDMI works. So now when I writing this post i have my phone connected to my Dell WD19 docking station. I see the phone screen on all three monitors, mouse and keyboard is working . (sorry for the really messy desk, I am a hardware developer )

  11. Is it really only me who finds it annoying, or more likely, is it only that I can't find solution online, but is there really no quick key on the keyboard for volume settings when keyboard is open? I am using Fingwerty if it matters.
