  4. Android uses a very complex scheme of virtual mount points that, in combination with SELinux, restrict access to partitions beyond what one would expect from rights management on the filesystem level. I honestly do not understand them but I have run into those security systems multiple times in the context of running my GNU/Linux chroot aside of LineageOS. I can well imagine that also in the case under discussion here, rooting is the only way for Android Apps to access file systems touched by both OS's.

  5. Why a root browser? Why not just make a symlink or a bind mount? Ultimately, the only requirement would be that the uids and gids match in both installs.

  6. Does the latest version of lineage have a Dex like function when connected to a monitor (I mean separate desktop mode) and can you make the settings and notifications dark too? Those would be the only reasons I would like to try it for.

  7. Hey @benoitjeffrey, 1 : The data partition is accessiable through both os's but not by default. You will need to change the ownership permissions in UBTouch and use a root browser on android. 2 : As for backup i know twrp offers a great solution but I havent tested. If you do give it a go, let me know how it goes and if you need any assistacnce. ~Zahkc

  9. I just wanted to mention that a while go I ordered the Fitbag for the Pro1 on Amazon. I then forgot about it because it does take a while to get to the US. I got it when I finally managed to get Verizon working on my Pro1 and so thought I would use it on the car with Android auto so I wanted protection in the cupholder since all Android Auto needs is the USB port-- everything appears on the in-Dash display. But I never solved the inability for BT to push the phone audio to the car microphone and speakers, so I went back to having a car phone and the Pro1 for everything else. So I no l

  10. A few days ago I just started having ghost touches appear about 3/4th of the way down from the top of the screen. Contacting Support to see if they have suggestions, or worst case, if a replacement screen is the way to go? I've been using this Pro1 since July 2020.

  11. I am using my Pro 1 now for weeks with wireless charging and it works pretty fine. I use this Qi Receiver https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B075L6MXJX/ and it works with nearly every loading pad. Two quite fast ones are these two https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0851XWYXK/ and https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07N67395S. How much watt it loads I don´t know but it is okay. I guess after (2 to) 3 hours it is fully loaded. I also "tuned" it a little bit by removing one of the layers of plastic coating and use some other foil as protection. Also removed the silver housing of the usb-c plug.
