Yup lineage-20.0-20230501-nightly-pro1-signed.zip is severely broken, no touch! The bug is in the boot.img too. I had to navigate with the side keys to even flash. Using the Tab-key and side keys, it can be operated somewhat, and all seems well - except touch....

All USB ports will die eventually. I've used a magnetic adapter but my phone still stopped charging in February this year. As there are no ports/USB available or you'd have to wait months for replacement parts, I decided to make my own USB port. This also gave me the opportunity to finally try and add a secondary charging port where the fingerprint sensor sits. What we need: - A small soldering iron with flux and solder - an arbitrary Micro USB or USB C port (Micro USB = easier, USB C = lasts longer) -> always try to find and ask for an original port since it will save you a lot

Now we want to add a secondary charging port. Why, you say? Because if you use your phone in horizontal mode all the time, even when not typing, the charging cable really is uncomfortable in your hands. I initially wanted to add a magnetic connector from a sxx toy (those with two pins) but since I needed to add a polarity corrector (full bridge rectifier) it dropped too much voltage by the diodes and made charging impossible. I don't see a physically possible way to prevent that since diodes always lose voltage. Instead, I disassembled a magnetic USB adapter and removed every pin but

...Flashing the boot.img from 20230427 gave touch back to recovery, and optimistically went for a dirty flash downgrade without a wipe. Surprisingly it worked 😄

Finally gotten a mail telling me my order is coming. Ordered 16 feb 2020 Postal service has not contacted me about customs yet ( they have a tendency of keeping my orders 2 weeks before forwarding it to me) so this could easily take a week or more.

Yup, did the same here. Except apparently I couldn't boot to my other slot, I think because I had installed Lineage without anything Google or Magisk and the old slot had the works. When I tried to boot, it claimed the data was corrupted and I had to factory reset. Here's the odd part. I factory reset and it booted into Googleless Lineage-- it was the May 1st nightly and the touch screen is working fine. ??? Be curious what @EskeRahnfinds when he sideloads May 1st-- is the problem with OTA, a problem that Factory resetting solves? Luckily my Pro1 has become my experimental device

Interesting! I suppose the one major thing that would still need to be confirmed for those approaches is their long-term durability. I wouldn't like it, say, if, at some point, that fluid would drip into my coffee while I'm typing 😉

I have no idea what to make of this situation. I don't think it's a scam. That is, I am pretty sure it really was FxTec (Francisco, bot or not) asking for my money and I'm pretty sure the Paypal invoice was really from them, and assume the same with yours. So, to my mind, that makes the most likely scenario that they somehow gave you the wrong tracking number (more likely, I think, than they sent your package to someone in GB, though we can't rule that out). Nowhere does FedEx indicate that you ever figured into this shipment. It may even be that your battery hasn't actually been shipped at

My guess would be that the app checks for physical or virtual keyboard, but are unaware of the new 'mixed' state where half of the display is dedicated for a virtual keyboard, (and thus logically should be treated as a physical). As they assumes a virtual keyboard takes up a substantial portion of the screen layout, they change the input-mode...

Hey Guys I recently bought Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. It has also a flex mode where it can transform as laptop factor very similar to Pro1. So i have been comparing them and thought to share it with you guys for your comments. Basically the z fold 3 has a very good build quality. it has outer display as a smartphone, but then it can be opened to become tablet mode which is very big display. and it can also sit in an angle to become laptop mode or as its called flex mode. the software side is not the polished yet as most of the apps dont get keyboard or custom control pad

What would be nice is if the Francisco bot actually responded to any of the 5 emails I sent or that @Casey checked in. Wrong tracking # doesn't fly because it's no secret that I am in the US. Saying "Your parcel will be shipped via FedEx and the tracking # above implies that my battery was shipped out. If that's the case, why wouldn't they just respond "Oh sorry, here's the right # _______________" Ignoring me doesn't look good or make me feel like I can trust them.

Good for you! For the record: mine is still "Processing", having ordered November 2019. However, like said before, QWERTZ phones do not seem to enjoy any kind of priority, either before nor now.
