Memory Cards. Recommendations and Suggestions.
VaZso replied to MickH's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
...yes but that way OTA updates and basically the whole Pro1 support would be dropped or at least would be much harder... -
...and it also means there are at least 1875 real pre-orders taken according to the highest serial number written in another thread and at least about 1312 were manufactured till this time. (...which may be even higher as not everybody write here...)

Memory Cards. Recommendations and Suggestions.
VaZso replied to MickH's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
As far as I know, SD cards do not do any wear leveling. That is why f2fs support would be a useful feature as it was specifically designed for this type of flash storage (I wrote it in feature request topic but I think it will not be included anyway). However, it would be much better to use that on uSD cards to reach longer usability time of them... -
I have just checked it and I see scancodes of 470 when closing and 471 when opening keyboard...

Exactly, these keys are seem to be very useless on Pro1 especially if they were sent together with the combination of fn modifier. 🙂

As far as I see, basically the file needed for QWERTY is the same as what I have attached but without "map" lines at its top part. (The truth is the opposite anyway - QWERTZ is what need to remap those keys as Pro1 basically has a shifted keyboard. So QWERTZ is where a remap should be applied in every cases.) So basically adding it to use on QWERTY keyboard is simple, but keys will be a bit messed up because of the shifted layout anyway. Without root access, you can not easily copy these files. However, I may send you an .apk with a version of FinQwerty which includes this mod

Hmm, include it in this way is even better as it does not need to be given separately in every .kcm files. Anyway, I have missed forward feature several times in browser so that is why I put it somewhere on the keyboard but it is true that fn+shift is not an easy combination. 🙂 So it may be much better this way.

d Thank you, it is good to know, that case I feel better. 🙂 You are right, it also affects landscape lock, but at least it can be turned on again in case the backlight isn't lit after wakeup when keyboard remains open (which is currently the case). Maybe it would be better if they were not send Fn+F5/F6 but some more unusual keystroke or combination like F11/F12 or Fn+some media key or fn+shift+key. It would be good if they could also use SW_LID anyway. You're welcome. I also think they are useful in all languages so basically it would be good to put it in ever

I could not resist trying it as I was too curious. 🙂 So this option has really worked. I have searched the existence of this option but found nothing so it seems to be really undocumented but as it works, now I love it. 🙂 Applied page up / down and home / end to fn+arrows and all of them work perfectly well even in Firefox, so I can easily jump to the beginning or end of a textbox for example and also page up / down functionalities work on web pages. Anyway, as it is dark here, I have noticed that F5 turns off keyboard's backlight and F6 turns it back on, even if I write repla

As far as I know, every order with IGG coupon applied and payed should have shipping preference... however, if the number 10 order was payed after very first batch has shipped then that order was definitively delayed... 🙂
-
Exactly that. There was no IGG campaign directly for Pro1 but coupons transferred from Moto Mod campaign. So as of last information, your order should also be fulfilled by this batch.

Thank you this suggestion, I will try it later (it is early in the morning here). Simply PAGE_UP does not work but I have not read about replace keyword, so it also worth a try.
-
I saw this but it does not help replacing fallback as far as I can see. I don't know if there is a representation of "page up" for example like '\t' for tab and '\n' for new line/enter. Fallback works well anyway but if application tries to handle it by itself then it will not fall back to the key specified by fallback option. So I had no problem with modifier+key handling but I would like to see a better option instead of fallback with the same behaviour but in every case so not just simply being a fallback.

Please provide us a feedback later mentioning how that display is working in Pro1 compared to its original display. Also it would be interesting if it may have some light leaking issue and how it is look like. Moreover, I would like to have information of how you screen performs some months later. Thank you in advance.

I agree. I really like having an unshifted keyboard. I would be much more happier if it were unshifted QWERTY but unshifted QWERTZ seems to became a really good compromise. Basically, I use unshifted QWERTY layout on this while I can reach every special characters I need by pressing fn (the yellow arrow button).

I wanted to do my own layout for Pro1 like I had in my N900 but without root access it did not seem to be an easy way to do this. Also, it wasn't convenient to write in my language on Pro1 without having an easy access of characters with accents. ...but when I saw FinQwery and its availability on GitHub, I have decided to play with it a little bit... ...so I have used FinQuerty but modified it a tiny bit by removing every keymaps (so it only contains mine) and renamed it slightly to be able to install it without affecting original FinQwerty so it can be remain installed and updated wi

That case it would be better if F(x)tec may have a transparent version of the keyboard at these characters if we kindly ask them. 🙂 ...maybe...

This formula seems to be a bit strange to me although my device should be included as being with IGG coupon. ...but as I live in a relatively small country, I have a fear that the amount of Pro1 ordered from my country may be relatively small amount especially as I have not really seen Pro1 mentioned in local (tech) media - even though I have tried to contact some of them being at Barcelona at MWC without success, however, they wrote about those foldable things... So does it mean in a case of living in a country where not really much orders have been taken, one would not receive its

It has an option to draw visual borders (shades) but you can turn visualization off.

First I have also thought they are the same link - these two links are very similar. 🙂

Usually customer services here have an automatic warning message that they will record the conversation for the purpose of "quality assurance" and usually they also provide a reference number. There is no option to refuse it just to hung up the call. However, as far as I know, one should only record the call legally here if the other party has accepted the recording somehow...

Another problem with edge null is that it has no settings for top and bottom edges in landscape mode - it always tries to solve left and right touching problem but in landscape mode of Pro1, it does not make sense as shorter edges are not easily touchable as opposite to longer edges especially when accessing the number row of keyboard.

Basically, its camera is good for my needs. It can take very good photos in daylight. I have not noticed the strange blur then sharpen type noise filtering scheme which can be found in the software of several phones. However, it has some noise filtering settings which I have not experienced with. In darker environment, it may be a bit noisy, I don't know what filter algorithm do with it or what other phones do in the same situation. Which is important for me is I can also take photos of subjects in the closer range - it can set focus very precisely. For example, I could ta

Sure, why not. Anyway, I would like to try Sailfish OS on it (after checked if it works correctly using stock firmware) after having some protection foils also on that device. I may also try other things but definitively not as much as if I were a beta tester as I would not like to worn out it's built-in flash too far as being my spare device to be used later in case my current Pro1 has problems.
