  1. It seems this is the mentioned light bleeding issue on Elephone: If I will have to replace my screen, I may be able to live with this problem but I may also try to hide it while assembling it. I don't feel it is a huge problem if we should choose between having a non-working Pro1 or a working one with some light coming out from a wrong place...
  2. I don't know but I guess it may be there from its born. This is true, I am also thinking of buying replacement screen once I have my Pro1 in my hands. I don't know how this "light bleed" looks like but I am currently think it is better to have a screen with light bleeding problem than another screen which is cracked or may not work at all. I will definitively not disassemble my phone if it does not have problems. Anyway, if something is wrong (broken screen, battery problem or anything else), then I will open it to replace faulty parts. ...but until there is not proble
  3. I think there are two types of batches - production batches and shipping batches. We (as customers) are mainly interested in shipping batches because those are what we are waiting for. Also, initially they said smaller quantities will arrive, then it seems they have decided to wait for more production batches to complete and send them together with higher quantity inside. (Maybe other option would be too expensive and/or more complicated.) As far as I understand well, they have found light leaking problems in one/more production batches so they are started to hold back them and fin
  4. I don't like those shutter sounds anyway, I may feel the lack of it as a feature instead of bug. Is it really necessary? (However, there may be regulations which say it is necessary, just I feel that sound is a noise.)
  5. As @anonim001 wrote she/he payed after a few days, I assume a lower order number with faster payment may be also in second batch if everything are going as expected. As of me, I have payed two minutes after receiving payment request. Also, one of my friends has an order number below 5000 and he pre-ordered because I showed it to him (still no stock assignment mail for him). Also, I would have also pre-ordered it earlier if they have not told us to wait for our voucher as we will all have priority. I have a bad feeling I may have been in the range of 3-4000 or even lower if I would have
  6. I think, if anonim001 with order number of 12xxx without IGG voucher is in the second batch, then all the remaining IGG backers are in the second batch and if there is no mistake somewhere, then you, with order number of 62xx should be also in the second batch if you were not payed it extremely late. That is only my opinion, but I think it may be a real expectation. Maybe QWERTY / QWERTZ difference can mix this a little bit, especially if anonim001 has a QWERTZ order and you have a QWERTY one. (Earlier they said as QWERTZ orders are much fewer, they may arrive a bit faster for thei
  7. For me, I have an order number of 116xx with IGG coupon and payed immediately - EU / QWERTZ from second batch. Still not received an e-mail, I hope for it in the coming days. Maybe it means the batch which is currently on their way will handle all IGG preorders and at least some of other preorders as well despite the just discovered light leaking issue in a batch of newer devices.
  8. No - if the first tunnel joins the start of the first one, then the light at the tunnel is probably your own back. So most likely the phone is behind you or just have received it and that is your smile or traveling on that train or... ...should we wake up?
  9. I think no but there may be a toller who is holding the light at the end of the tunnel... or there are... trolls everywhere. šŸ˜„
  10. Or everyone of us with our old phones running towards them to grab our Pro1 being in next batch. šŸ˜„
  11. I hope at the end of the tunnel that light is not the train itself but Fxtec team holding a bunch of Pro1 leading towards our units packaged near them (that is why they are in the dark). šŸ™‚
  12. I think it is no need of a selfie camera or any cameras... No need of a camera, no need of watch what was recorded, no need to record it again if something happens and no need to edit the video. ...but a few words written as update of facts by regular basis would be very welcome.
  13. Absolutely right. I would also accept the phone if it was in pure nature with only the boot loader working having to install the operating system a few weeks later... šŸ™‚ Moreover, I would also accept it if it would be in separate pieces and I would have to do the final assembly... šŸ™‚ Seriously.
  14. "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."
  15. If they had to wait for Google certification then decided to switch temporarily to another method to be able to release the manufacturing process of first batch to avoid further delay may can be an explanation of the delayed production (software is part of the process so manufacturing can not be fully finalized before a solution for that). My speculation is they will probable remove it by next OTA as they have certification of Google now so they may not need this one anymore. This is only my thoughts if I understand well what I read.
  16. I think they have just went through this Google's certification process (someone has linked Pro1 became part of the list in official supported phones). Others said (who have received their phones) initially the phone was stated as an unsupported device maybe in a thread related to Google Play. So if the above are true, I assume this may be a temporary solution to be able to update phones remotely and when Google certification is done (which has happened now) they can release an update and switch to the official updater. This is my idea but I think it is possible. I don't know if
  17. Exactly. I wanted to buy a phone for a Mod once it is in my hands. However, I was sometimes very close to buy one especially when they finally were close to ship the first Mods.
  18. Yes, I saw it had been clarified in original message, but I saw those messages which were speaking about that clarification were removed just after I sent my message. However, I left my message intact...
  19. Just some thoughts... I have worked with an ARM board for a project. The board was only a few months old so practically there were no downloadable uSD images which works instantly and also not even for the OS I wanted to put on - but there were some instructions. I have compiled uboot and put an OS to the card. It worked well on one of my boards, but was rhapsodical on the other. On that board it usually booted up the second time... or third time... but then it worked well. I have looked into the source code of uboot and found the problem when it does not boot is that it can not re
  20. Nokia 3310 --> Nokia 6230i --> Nokia N900 --> Nokia N900 --> Nokia N900 --> Motorola G6 --> F(x)tec Pro1 once it arrives My wannabe phone was Nokia N950 and I almost bought a Motorola Z or Z2 because of Keyboard Mod (first I wanted a version of Z, then Z2 became available, then maybe almost Z3 but the whole Z series became unnecessary as we lost Keyboard Mod). My 3310, 6230i and Moto G6 were brand new. I bought my first N900 as used device but after years, its eMMC has died. A few months before it died I bought the second N900 which had eMMC fault (so was cheap) and go
  21. I don't think (however, I don't know "today" means which time zone, it is 19:44 here). So, I should be in the second batch as an IGG preorderer and still not received e-mail about it. Also, I think "Will send out fulfillment mails later" statement doesn't mean later in today but maybe later next week. Also they said most of the preorderers they wanted to be in second batch, so there is a high chance you may also. šŸ™‚
  22. Because every phone is different. šŸ™‚ I mean any of them use a specific SoC (like SDM835 in this case), but different solutions in hardware. Different sensors are connected to different ports (other IĀ²C or SPI), the CS pin of an SPI device may be connected to different outputs, enable signal for specific power supplies may be connected to different outputs, after hardware switches on it may have a "self-powering" technique which has to be driven, uSD can be connected to different port (if there are more), displays are different (resolution, driving method / driver IC, mirroring, etc), tou
